Hey Guys, Does anyone still play this game? I only ask cause I havn't played since before Burning Crusade, and I wasn't planning on it really... untill I saw some of the stuff they are adding in the upcoming expansion Cataclysm. Though I am not a fan of what they are permanently doin to the world, everything else seems pretty damn cool and might even get me to play this god forsaken game again. Any thoughts? lol
I tried to go back recently. I got bored. Really bored. I know they are changing a lot for Cataclysm, but after a few months it'll go back to being boring again.
Yeah I am sure it will (like it always does) but I don't know... the whole Dual Class sh!t seems a little extravagant. So much so that like I said, I may just end up getting this sh!t again haahha
So glad I quit this back in December. Icecrown was a snore, and I'm sure Cataclysm will be alright for a month then once you hit the ceiling on your tier pieces you'll be wondering, "Um why am I still playing this?"
my friend back in like 98 i think, maybe 99 try to get me to try out warcraft.. just did not appeal to me for whatever reason maybe i had zero time.. anyhow.. then i see all these people addicted.. shrugs.. anyhow.. good luck on the update. one thing is for sure, it has made blizzard some bank.. i would like C&C renegade ( i was addicted to this game.. laughs ) 2 or even 3 since they canceled 2.. come on blizzard!! chris.
Well Warcraft and World of Warcraft are 2 completely different games. I loved the old Warcraft RTS games, those are the ones that were back in '98 '99 era. I think WoW came out in what... 2004? It's a MMO and very addictive. It just hapened to get boring quick now-a-days.
I just got back into school (sophmore year) and i had to quit the game from playing all summer. I played the game over 3 years ago, then got hacked...so i took a break. Came back 2 months ago, and just quit. I don't think i'll be able to quit the game though, as i still came back after 3 years...and i plan to play next summer. OR i could be more social and have a GF, but no one seems to like me. =/ How to be more social with not a lot of friends?
If you read his post, he's clearly talking about World of Warcraft, and interest in the upcoming expansion... Not is anyone playing the expansion, which is in a fairly wide beta right now, making the question feasible even if that is what he was asking.
Serious tear is in my eye right now man. If you're going to nerd out on an mmo, there are still ways to be social in the thing you're obsessive about. There are guildie meetups, blizzcon, LAN whatevers. I was pretty fortunate to have met some decent people playing WoW, and had the chance to meetup/hang out here in L.A., and on vacation in San Fran and NY. But like I said that mightve been pure luck, trust me in the back of your mind you're hoping these people aren't whackjobs IRL. As far as other avenues of being social, since you're still in school try a club. There are clubs for just about everything, computers, photography, music, hot girl appreciation club. There's also sports which is what I did in highschool, but if I could do it all over again I wouldve went with art, music, or theatre - that's where all the interesting cute girls are.
I honestly don't think that its worth it, no one will respond and if they do they'll make fun of me. And plus i dont want to sound desperate (Cuz im not!) and make people feel sorry for me. I just want some advice! I play sports, and im starting the drums...now i just need a drum SET. And my younger brother plays guitar, so we might start a band or something...once he stops insulting me in front of my friends. Well, to the first thing about meeting IRL...the guild i was in have a Facebook page, so i got to see them all. Looked normal, but they all seem to live North Carolina and the East Coast...when im here in California (West Coast woot!). You sound lucky to me...i do talk to some of vent, and who knows, maybe ill meet up with a girl from the guild, and theres my GF! XD I play roller hockey for my school. It isnt an official school sport yet, so its just a club team. Anyone that watches the school hockey is for the ICE team -_- and then the ice hockey players keep annoying us about playing on skates and a sport-sport court tiled rink. I already know what i want to major in college for, but it doesn't really help for me being social...and plus all the girls that i want are either out of my league, i don't them that well (yet), or theres too much drama in asking them out just to get rejected. Oh, AND just to add to it, i have a bad stutter, and it makes me shy and not want to talk. Blah blah blah, ill stop rambling now. Im always self conscious about how i talk too much sometimes. --RJ
Hey you can just get a gf and play with her. I play with my bf all the time. I'm hoping the expansion adds a little more spice to the game but we'll see. I do know they are making getting to 60 a cake walk... which is nice for someone like me who has a max amount of characters but only had the attention span to get one of them to lvl 80....
Yeah I played with a GF back when i used to play and that was a nightmare. She was a little clingy though so I guess that could be it. Anytime I was in a party that didn't involve her she got all mad at me. We HAD to party together, which was hard end game cause she was always like 10 levels below me. I helped her quest out as much as possible but she was always behind. It wasn't that that bothered me, it was just that she got so mad when i wouldn't play with her. lmao
I'll think about making a thread. I might make a thread on how to get a girl without being awkward, since i like this girl at school ;D Getting the gf is that hard part! I'll take it one step at a time for now Read my response to Derek ^^ and tell me if i should make it.
