Try and hit guys who are already damaged a good bit...seems to help. And you can try to at least shoot out their tracks for your team mates, you'll notice that tank treads are never red, along with a few other weak spots. Also you can help your team win just by staying alive and spotting. Or you could try to get flag cap points. Till you can upgrade your gun anyway.

All good advice. Also, watch your angles when you shoot them. If you are not straight at them but rather at an angle, shells will bounce more often. Also try to avoid shooting at armor that is sloped (like the hetzer) to avoid bouncing shells
For using tanks with derp weapons, like the Murdur II, they usually have massive damage but low penetration, which is the reason why you couldn't destroy tanks despite the stats saying otherwise. Use the Murdur II as an artillery weapon, stay behind end line with a few tanks in front of you and attack tanks on their weak spots or already damaged tanks which will have weakened armour. Use the world of tanks wiki which have extensive guide on the weak spot on tanks. Knowledge is key here. Also hide behind cover.

Best tanks imo Tier1 : T1. Tier2: T-18. Tier3:M2. Tier 4: M3 Lee. Tier 5: Both M4Sherman & T1 heavy....
So I've got every tier-IV now in all three nations, and the tier-V KV1. Was hoping to get at least one more tier-V unlocked over the weekend event but I didn't have time.
That list really makes me laugh out loud. M3 Lee as the best tier IV tank ? That thing has the worst characteristics of both tank destroyers and tanks all rolled into one easily shootable package. Best tier IV? The Hetzer
I think he got tier 2 right. That T-18 is a beast. With the top gun you can 1-shot pretty much anything, plus it has good armor and speed. The Lee is terrible though...
I'm totally hooked to this game. I can't stop playing at it. The really stupid thing is I'm not that great a player! lol
Yep. Im prolly biased with US tanks. My friend is developing the German tanks and Im happy with my lineups atm. At Tier 5, T1 is a monster. Also got myself an M4 coz im looking down the line to get the Pershing. At Tier 6, M6 is not quite good (or its just that i havent unlocked the last cannon yet)
There's one big problem with playing this game on the ipad. If you ever go back to playing on the PC, you have to adjust your expectations. I got creamed in my first few PC games because I kept on expecting reload times to be as fast as on the ipad. I do ok playing on the ipad, so this really put a damper on my ego. Heh.
