Our game designer and one of the developers were trying to finish a Rubiks cube in the middle of a meeting, and that got them thinking of how that could be combined with a word game, explains Jonas Johnsson, co-founder of Bali-based Dragon Game Studio. They then tested that theory by making a physical prototype of what the game could possibly look like, attaching paper letters to a Rubiks cube to visualise the unique gameplay mechanism. And thats how Word Adventure - quite literally wordplay with a puzzle twist - was created.
