Wow. The editor looks fantastic. Don’t have time to delve in right now but it looks like it hits the sweet spot between intuitive and powerful.
It’s an absolute joy in pretty much every way; like a big budget Mekorama which was a joy in itself of course. I’m seeing one bug where some campaign and level names seem to have some sort of file name or placeholder title instead of what’s intended but apart from that it just oozes quality. I’ve played a bit of multiplayer with my daughter and it’s as simple as you could want. A code to setup a party which you can have private or public (which we discovered by picking up a random when I was fiddling with stuff) and then just heading into a level. With mechanics such as pressure plates I imagine there’s all sorts of possibilities in this department. I like the way you have a home “box” where your party assembles. This can be customised with more options opening up as you level up. Everyone likes a home to show off. It’s a serious bit of kit, despite its cartoonish styling. Edit: The way the blocks interact with each other and grow is quite astonishing. Stone arches generate naturally as you place stone blocks in the appropriate way; wooden platforms form a house floor or a bridge anchored into said stone archway depending on context and that’s just scratching the surface. I placed a single block using the chair tool and it’s a stool, two blocks side by side and it’s a bench. One block on top of another, it’s a chair. Discovering the ways all the different blocks interact with themselves and each other is a game in itself. Crazy.
