Your Game, Wonder Blade is a very amazing indie game. Once it gets Apple featured, its sales will skyrocket!
!!!! I finally found the game I was talking about! I knew I was not crazy. After two days searching the internet, without a name or anything. Just a vague memory that I have a great time with this game .... It hurts that it does not exist anymore, I do not even have it in the shopping history ... Edit: PuppetDepot you do an awesome game, me and my wife are enjoy this a lot! Please don´t let this game die!
Fantastic game. Got through the second chapter boss without issue . Perfect difficulty so far , I’d much rather a difficult game of this sort then an easy hack and slash. If it was easy I would of put down the game days ago. Thanks for the challenge guys.
Well, i never played CC so i Google it and i think, and sorry for CC lovers, this game it´s better and have a lot of potencial... (A future local multiplayer, more power up, colectibles, new combos, more bosses etc) A lot of future! <3 Edit: The difficult of this game makes it awesome... Just add some different level but don't make it easy
I should have the game finished tonight, just in time before the balancing patch. Such a wonderful game. Thank you so much for bringing this to the App Store, and congratulations on being featured.
LOL. If you’ve never played CC, how do you know this is better? Both are good games. CC is much easier IMO. Still enjoying this but hope the update balances things a bit. @PuppetDepot Congrats on being featured! Excellent game and priced way too cheap. But hope it sells a lot!
Of course yes! *Difficulty and balance adjustment. *Enhanced performance of dodge and capture of enemies. *Combo hits is easier than before. *Bug fixes.
we share the same opinion, i totally agreed with you. many people are saying that this game is a clone of CC, out of curiosity i see like hours of gameplay of cc and nah, this game totally different and only share the same artwork, nothing more and if i can only pick one, ill easily pick this over CC.
I think the only thing that even remotely matters about the Castle Crashers similarity controversy is that the initial review article did not refer to the game WonderBlade as something along the lines of a Castle-Crashers style beat em up. That’s it. This is a different game, it’s similar, but not identical, and if Behemoth, the makers of CC have some sort of issue with it, they can talk to the devs of WonderBlade themselves. My only reasons for commenting were to find out if the dev is a huge CC fan like my family (yes) and why TA didn’t mention the CC inspiration in their review (which I am not angry/upset about, only slightly puzzled by). My personal opinion is that WonderBlade is a really fun game, on its own merits, and while the two have a lot of similarities, it does not appear to be a clone at all. The dev explained himself perfectly when he replied to my post that he’s always wanted to make a game in this style, and he did a great job. I was very excited to see this type of game make it to the App Store because classic XBLA style games are always so much fun on iOS. I look forward to seeing the updates for WonderBlade as well as any other projects that come from your studio. With so many awful cash grab games coming out for this platform, it’s important to support quality efforts like this one.
How do you get in the house of terror ? There is a guy telling me that I cannot enter. Is that unlocked later on ?
Has anyone found any good places to level up a bit? I've just reached the boss of the House of Terror and the complexity of the boss is far above anything else so far, which I like, but I think I'm a little weak. Are any particular levels or sections better than others for getting some quick exp? I'm level 17 for reference. This one feels like another difficulty spike, also. The second boss that a lot of people have struggled with was tricky but I got through it after a few attempts, but I've found every boss since then (until now) much easier than the second, to the point where I've managed to do them first time. I'm not meaning this to sound like I'm showing off, but mechanically they are simpler. The boss of the frozen world literally has one attack that is easily dodgeable and repeats it for the entire fight and has no other enemies on screen, which is way easier than other bosses who have multiple attacks, extra enemies and faster movement across the screen. This level however has a boss with strong melee and multi-hit ranged attacks, quick targets to dodge that require constant movement, extra enemies on screen and those enemies can grab you to keep you still while any of the other attacks can hit you. The added issue is all of these can combo, so if you get hit by a multi-hit ranged attack, and then hit by a spell target, you'll get hit in a combo with nothing you can do about it and lose 30-50% of your health in one set of hits. I'm not saying this needs to be made easier, I welcome the challenge, but it absolutely comes out of nowhere compared to some previously significantly easier and less complicated bosses. The frozen level boss is probably the easiest in the game so far, and considering it's the 7th level in the game, it seems a bit odd!
Happy to report that I’ve managed to finish the game before rebalancing update. The game is tough as nails, but not unfair. Wonder Blade is definitely among my favorite mobile games ever. I understand that many are frustrated by its difficulty, but I haven’t encountered a single situation where the game uses bullshit mechanics to keep the player down. All bosses can be defeated by learning their patterns (most have only 2-3 attacks which they repeat) and the rest is practice. Sure, there are frustrating situations, but I’ve learned that even those can be avoided if you utilize all the moves correctly. For example, I’ve only started using jump combo at the later half of the game and that thing can do wonders (just jump and smash attack button repeatedly). Keeps you in the air for a decent amount of time, you automatically lift enemies in the air and juggle them while attacking, and all the while most ground attacks and spells can’t get to you. In case anyone wonders I was level 24 in the end. At first I was sticking to Cheese Armor for healing benefits but later I was exclusively using the default armor (the one you have at the beginning) because it enchances fire spell damage (which I used the entire game, didn’t bother much using others). I found swords with high physical damage most useful, although there are great balanced ones. Anyways, congrats once again to Puppet Depot for this amazing game. Had a blast and looking forward to the future content updates.
My Nimbus controller buttons suddenly stopped working in Wonder Blade. The directionals still work, just no buttons. I reset the controller, rebooted the ipad and reconnected the bluetooth connection. I have confirmed the controller & all buttons work fine in other games and Wonder Blade had no issues until today. Any suggestions?
