i do not yet see a way to strafe which is dissapointing, this was needed frequently in the original version

it may sound silly, but im impressed with how smoothly it runs.

haha the health boxes have red hearts on them instead of the crosses since the red cross threatened ID if they ever made the game again that they must replace the crosses with something

Is this the FPS we have been waiting for? We had no reason, for it was there all along. When there was only one set of footprints, it was carrying us.

Do the Nazi's still say "schiest!!" (cursing?) and did they remove the gross swastikas?

I'm synching now, so I guess I will find out!

not digging the controls with the strafe, i can see why they default with not strafe as it works pretty well

first set of controls with the tilt to move turned on seems to work awesome, this keeps the good controls and you only need to tilt when you want to strafe. now im back to digging it

Good job JC, look forward to hearing more thoughts and from others as well on this game. I'm mildly interested in it. Would like to see a video of this in action too if anyone has seen one.

It's my favorite fps I have seen on the iphone, I've wanted to like others but I never really liked one until now.

It's hard to say everyone should gets this game, it has a more retro appeal, a lot like Oregeon Trail. I'm pleased with my purchase however I don't wish to just come out and say buy it. I will say to any fans of the game, it shouldn't dissapoint you. I hope John at ID will port Spear of Destiny as well. Finding the control set that works for you is the hardest part. I think the original but with the tilt to move turned on is the way to go. I think I set the tilt at 30% and it works ver nicely as it only moves when I drastically rock it.

I'll buy it if it has G-d Mode.

Does it have G-d Mode? :D

Oh I'm so D/L Right now!!! This was the first of many FPS for me growing up...
    Ahhh... Memories... :D:D:D

[EDIT] - I love it, Probably not for most people @ $5 but def worth for me, the sounds are a little diff from what I remember but the game seems to be a perfect port, as for the controls, I don't mind them, the swipe ones are a bit weird but the 3 button works out great! Now bring me my multiplayer doom!!!

#3 control with original and strafe with sensitivity at 30% works perfect for me. I feel like I'm on my Packard Bell (remember them?) Pentium Desktop (it was only 75 mhz!!) in 1996 playing it for the first time...

It seems to be exactly the way I remember Wolfenstein 3D :D

#3 is pretty close. It would be perfect, for me, if there was an option to switch the strafe and rotate but keep the fire and forward/backward where they are. On that note, how do I switch guns? Can I use the knife somehow? Someone had mentioned all levels are selectable, but not the secret ones it seems. Does anybody else remember the Pac-Man secret level? That was insane. What episode was that?
