No discussion about the available update? There are already lots of reviews in the US store complaining about the updated graphics.
I updated earlier and I don't have any complaints. What's the probs w/the graphics? The "movable" controls makes this game impeccable IMHO!

the updated graphics are terrible, i took a star away, thats not what the original game looked like, they better not ruin Doom like this
Heres some screens for you guys! My thoughts from my blog: Wolfenstein 3D for the iDevice got an update today! Before you guys get all happy and stuff, I would just like to say I do NOT like the "improved" graphics. I bought this game because I wanted the original, I DON'T see a "REMIX" after the title. This update made me feel a little cheated. I mean the graphics are nice now but you don't get that old feeling anymore. A few other things they improved is the FULL customization of the controls. This means you can move them around the screen to wherever you want! Also, we now have iPod integration! And we can now switch weapons by tapping! YAY! THIS IS NOT ADVERTISING, IM NOT POSTING A LINK =D JUST MAKING THAT CLEAR
The v1.2 update will include the ability to load user-created maps via http, and we're considering allowing user-created content to replace existing assets. The details still need to be worked out, but if we go this route it would make it straightforward for us to support the v1.0 content as a downloadable "mod".
Are you on the dev team?? If so can you please make the graphics upgrades optional. Like classic mode and new mode or something? I'm a little bummed I updated now. User created levels would be fricking sick. Is there a way to make wads for an Iphone/touch app??

I HATE that I have to slam this game in regards to the update. Not only are the new graphics not that good, but I fully agree about this not being wolf 3d remix. The open button was removed out of necessity, they were as true as they could have been. There was no reason they had to redesign the guns etc. I REALLY hope they are reading this and they put it back. With that being said, being able to customize the interface is AWESOME. I used layout 3 and having shoot up top was horrible especially since I used tilt to turn. Having the tilt control convenient when I never used it was such a waste. The only thing I didn't see was a way to remove elements from the display, but being able to arrange is a great start **** CHANGE THE GRAPHICS BACK!!!! ****
If you flip one page back, the "dev team" just said that there will be a downloadable version of the old graphics as a mod. Modded levels + old graphics + Killing pixelated robot hitler= +1 for the Polish

I wanted to voice how I felt to try and make sure there was a way to go back to how it was because it doesn't appear any final decisions have been made.
True, well, i wasnt yelling at you or anything, I was just making sure that you knew that there was talk about it in this thread.
We're definitely monitoring the feedback, and John and I (the "dev team") are now very aware that supporting the old assets is important to a lot of people. On removing a UI element you don't want to use, this is not very obvious, but drag stuff you don't want in your UI to to the center of the screen.
I'm telling you this update was awesome! As for the nostalgia factor, PEOPLE this is an iphone version of the game, want the original? Play the original. IMHO, I wouldn't change a thing
Not saying I don't "like" the new graphics. I just don't think they should replace the originals. But it's definitely not a deal breaker. I'm sure I'll get used to it.
