When you get exploring deep into the dungeons remember that all walls are not what they seem. : ) If you've ever played our Quest expansions you know how much we love walls that are not what they seem. : ) You don't have to hit them or tap on them but you should be able to move through them. : ) You'll get a hint near one but for the others you are on your own. There aren't a lot but there are some.
And if you have a lot of gold and don't care how much the rabbit Daisy pilfers from you when you pet her, take a minute and run your hands through her soft fur. There's nothing like petting a really furry rabbit to make you happy and forget your cares. : ) Real Heroes and Heroines always need to unload their cares. : ) And there are no in app purchases to worry about except Daisy the Rabbit. : ) Who will slyly take your gold. : ) But it's all role-playing and she won't actually reach into your real pocket. : ) But she may deplete you of a significant part of your in-game gold. Nice Daisy!
Not sure if it's been asked yet, but are there many puzzles in the game? Plus, how long do you reckon it would take to complete? Cheers. (really enjoyed the Quest series).
There are some puzzles. There will be more in the sequel. It took me two to three days to complete the last time I played it but then I know where everything is. : ) Once you have the Teleport scroll from Old Shaman's shop you can move around pretty fast if you use that and the genie in Beachtown. You have two phases to the game. One is collecting all the runes to summon Warloga. The other is finding the demons and recovering the books. Then you have the side quests. : )
Just a note to anyone playing on iPhone. It's not meant to be played in portrait mode. IPhone launches in portrait mode. You should rotate to landscape. Someone wrote me they couldn't see the backpack and that was why--they were playing in portrait mode. Thanks.
It really depends on which element you favor because different weapons enhance different elements. But generally, the most powerful sword would be the Congo Kick that you get from Ankush, one of the Knights in the Ancient Halls, for doing his brother's quest to restore their heartpieces.
Just found this video that shows you how to use your backpack and equip your gear. Play in landscape mode, otherwise you won't see your backpack. http://youtu.be/Jp8rccMX_XU
Added a new compass to the update up at the top of the screen so your thumb doesn't get in the way. It also shows you if you are close to an npc, including quest-givers and demons. Hope to upload the update to Apple this weekend---includes the autosave feature.
I haven't added an ingame map yet because I haven't found graphics I like for the mapping. Am working on this hopefully for a future update and to include in our other planned games-- there are many. : ) Both first person and third person. But the compass will tell you when you're close to someone who can help you in some way without giving away when you are close to items you need like one of the stolen books. Is that what you mean--do we have an in-game map? Not yet but working on it. How do you feel about a third person game? I have plans to do one among the other games we're working on. : ) Toon style. : ) A little bit like Zelda although I am not Miyamoto at all but would like to make a third person game where you explore in that Zeldaish way. : ) It was and is one of my favorites still. We don't have many limits on the type of games we can make. We wanted WizzardIsland to be comfortable for players of our Quest expansions so it's first person and our sequel Ahool Island is first person. And our other planned games are first person. But we also want to make at least one third person game and we have it in the works. : )
