Thanks everyone for buying our game. @duke12 and anyone who is having trouble staying alive, do Potionista's quest and get her sash. That will strengthen you. There's a lot of money lying around on a door in a barrel that will give you some gold to shop at Old Shaman's shop in the Grove. Arianna in Beachtown will increase your strength or endurance if you knock on her door. Old Shaman's shop has some really great weapons. Tap on the sword with whatever weapon you have equipped to fight with weapon. To fight with a spell use the fireball icon and tap on which spell you want to use. FireBaton is pretty strong and will knock out most of the enemies in Sludgetown. You do have to tap fast if you're being attacked by two at the same time. Tap on monster name you want to damage tap on fireball and big heal skill to heal fast. It got so I would tap on the big heal spell almost automatically so I wouldn't have to worry. You can buy a strong spell from MeganT in the Grove for 200 gold. You can find or pick up others by doing quests and searching around. If you go to Potionista's shop in Beachtown you can buy a scroll of full heal tap on that in your inventory and then when you're in a battle area and see your health going down tap on that to heal. If you pick up Numb in Beachtown you get his skill Numb punch which is pretty powerful. If you play as a Ritual Caster there's a statue in Beachtown that will increase one of your stats. Similar statues for each type of player are around. I could make the monsters in Sludgetown weaker in an update if necessary. Am open to suggestions for an update but this engine I'm using is not as full featured as Ork2 which we'll be using for our sequel. Yet it delivers the story and quests and while fighting is a little different than in the Quest, I got to like it. But then I have nine lives.
Are you ok with that now? I tried to have the Wind Spirit explain in the introduction. You can buy a How To book in Potionista's shop. Any suggestion how I can make this clearer? Am happy to try. But I don't use auto save. In the Quest it's buggy and I guess that taught me to be afraid of using it.
Although we've been making Quest expansions for seven years, this is really like our first game. We think generally it's pretty good. We expect to get better and better at using Unity and ORK. If you compare our first Quest expansion HOL I to our last you can see how far we pushed it and hope to do so here too. Your comments are very helpful and we want to try to make it a fun experience for you as well as a challenge. Will experiment with auto save in the sequel and see how things go.
Whow, in all honesty I didn't expect that! Been a few years and I was only one of many and not even all that active. My cat is still alive and well, and has a younger littermate now, unfortunately for her a two-legged one Of course I want to see what new stuff you are up to. Will be a while until I get around to really play (pretty busy with other things, like testing games for friendly developers) , looking forward to it with great anticipation. Hope I can give it a shot tomorrow, to see how the realtime combat works. Reading that was a "oh please, don't!" moment for me: I imaged Quest's combat in realtime -> ouch. Autosave: I think you should have one that saves regularly, when you close the app, when it force-closes thanks to not enough memory available etc. I know a lot of games where it works really reliable and doesn't cause any trouble. Ask on the Developer subforums here, for example. Or, if you prefer, I can dig up a few names and get you in touch.
Thanks. I've asked in the ORK forum. I know it's possible to auto save but want to make sure it's dependable. If I need external script, I'll let you know. I'm glad you are so good to cats. : )
I found Numb so I can go mining but Thakal the Orc has given me a quest to find Sour Nutsos...amybody got any idea where to find them? Thanks.
Thanks, catacomber, for explaining the combat. The game is a lot of fun! I still have a few questions though. What does leveling up do in this game? I keep accidentally talking to the merchant in the sewers. Is there a way to cancel and not buy anything? Where is the dragon snuff in the sewers? What does enable visions do? Thanks.
Thanks. Leveling up increases your stats but not Reputation--you can only increase your reputation by doing quests. (You get a reward from the Wind Spirit statue near Lua in Warloga's Grove once you have enough reputation points.) I took out the level up message that could have left in as it's an interruption when you're surrounded by monsters trying to kill you. Check your stats to see level up progress. There is currently no option not to buy something from him. He's a greedy guy. If it bothers you a lot, let me know and I'll give you a cancel option in the update. Enable Visions is needed by one of the demons--he'll trade you for one of Warloga's books so if you bought it hang onto it. Dragon Snuff can be had from Writhon in the Worms Lair on a door. He can give it to you if you have the Mesmerize ability.

Thanks for the help. The greedy merchant was only a problem back when I was very low on gold. I now have almost 4k so he doesn't bother me anymore.
Just don't pet the rabbit Daisy. She has reasons why she invites you to pet her. Check your gold after each stroke! You can bet in the casino by the way in the Tower.
Oh no! She got me a few times while searching for the rabbit jam thief. Speaking of which, any hints on where the rabbit jam thief is? I'm really stuck.
You might want to visit the Upper Halls of the Tower in Warloga's Grove and speak to the chef Toulouse Ptomaine on a door in the Upper Halls. The teleporter to the Upper Halls is in a corridor of the Entrance Hall. He needs you to remove a ghoulish statue there that is giving him nightmares. His quest is easy to do if you investigate some brownish pillars in the Tower near the elevator guy. : ) The chef will be grateful and give you a nice recipe for rabbit jam. And you need to do that quest for him in order to get one of the five important books from one of the demons. She's interested in his buns. : ) You'll want to revisit him later. There's a brown pillar in the Tower near the guy who runs the elevator between the Tower and the Entrance Hall as mentioned. If you're still stuck let me know. You did investigate all the plants in the Entrance Hall didn't you? Some of them can free up some things for you not necessarily related to this quest but you really should investigate everything in the Entrance Hall. And then you'll get some surprises in the Tower if you've gotten Dirac's quest to summon Warloga.
