Just to be clear, because I can’t tell from this; Slay the Spire does have iCloud save now. Fairly recently. Yes it took about 3 years.
Dang I just saw this thanks to the GOTW article and really was about to instantly buy it but for a game that requires tons of time investment, random deleted saves sound very very worrisome. Have the devs not addressed this at all? That's probably one of the biggest game-breaking bugs of all time.
Was honestly surprised that to see this get GoTW with the save issues it has. Hoping for some fixes soon! Fun game but I’m too afraid to play it ATM.
An absolutely incomprehensible decision, considering that Resident Evil Village was also released last week- hahaha!! Greetz Chris
The thing with RE:V is that only people with the newest iPhones can play it. Maybe that was part of his decision making process. I’m just glad he takes the time to play a new game every week and write an article about it.
Plus don’t forget we all like different things so game of the week won’t always be the actual best game of that week or the game you think is the best game that week because we all enjoy different things. I think it’s a good choice and I’d of picked it over Resident Evil too but I’m not Resident Evil fan it’s not something I’ve ever gotten into.
I really wish the devs would see the critical feedback and hotfix but it doesn't seem like that's the case...
I’m itching to play this but won’t take the plunge and buy until the clearly critical bugs are addressed. It’s been out long enough for a patch to be out of the devs cared, so this is a red flag.
There was an update yesterday but I’m not sure if the patch notes match what people have been saying or if they fixed more than they put in the notes at all. But it gives me a little hope that more may come.
Any update on the update lol? Mostly wondering if the save issues are fixed. On the go, and more importantly, losing save file. Anyone know if these issues have been resolved?
The last update didn‘t change the big problems. Still the map is bugged - once you open it there is no way to close it. And there is still no way to save during a run - and a run takes about 1-2 hours. You have to restart your run if you can‘t finish the run. Because of this really big flaws I won‘t put any more time into playing this game. Maybe they fixed the bug where all your progress gets wiped after some runs, but because the devs ignored all other bugs I guess they also didn‘t fix this.
I can close the map by tapping just off-centre of it (the little map icon in the upper right). Basically tap the black circle of the little map icon/button but not the centre of the icon itself. the issue of run save still stands and is basically why I’m not playing this game. Massive shame.
I guess the save issue has now been fixed by them. You can save mid run. I'm playing on Android on a OnePlus 11, and seems to work great. However I've asked them to add an exit option for the game, but they ain't even interested in replying
So it worth a download now? Game saves mid run? worth playing single player? It used to be heavily advertised as a multiplayer game.
