Here's the oddest thing. I used a gift card, which was already taxed. Yet, when I purchased games, the games were taxed again. What is the deal with that? If that's the case, why would anyone in their right mind use the cards?
I'm charged tax when I buy the music or games etc. on the app store, but not when I actually pay for the card. A fifteen dollar card costs exactly fifteen dollars, but a 99 cent app might cost 1.07.
When you buy a card form a store I dont you get charged for tax (for atleast me anyways). But when you purchase something you get charged tax depending on what state you are in I think?
Seems like that's the case. Luckily, like nuttyturnip, I've never had to pay tax on any of my App store purchases as well.
Actually, it depends on what state you're in. Down here in California, we don't get taxed on apps/music. But it could be a completely different situation somewhere else.
