The game will be released on iOS on 13 October 2016. Mr. Mustachio is a casual and fun (and probably educational ) game requiring simple maths, quick calculations, fast reflexes; and use all of them to help Mr. Mustachio grow his moustache really long! It is currently in development. It would be available for iOS platforms soon. The game is being developed by a solo indie developer. More about me at - http://www.shobhitsamaria.com I will use this thread to provide updates about the development of the game. I have a few WIP screenshots which I am attaching to the post. I hope people like them. Any feedback over the course of the development of the game (and after) is more than welcome and in fact, quite sought after. So, thank you to the toucharcade audience in advance. [EDIT] The iOS TestFlight build got approved by Apple so Mr. Mustachio is now available for external testing! If anyone wants to try out the game, find some bugs and provide feedback, then provide me with your apple id and I will send an invite. Please send the details using this - Registration Form. Or Send me the details via private message or post reply in this thread. Many thanks in advance!
#Dev Update Time to update the thread with some progress. So Mr. Mustachio, loves his moustache and the aim of the game is to help him grow it. Attaching a gif showing the different moods of Mr. Mustachio and also a video of his moustache at full length! The progress has been good. I have started putting the pieces of the game together and should have a playable build soon. As always, any critique, feedback, suggestion or words of encouragement are more than welcome. Thanks.
Thanks! It will consist of random generated grids. It would be one touch/swipe game where you have to match a certain 'result' to the correct row/column in the grid. Hoping to put up a gameplay video or gif soon.
#Update 2 Mr. Mustachio's Rule Book is complete! I mean I finished creating the In-Game tutorial despite introducing a silly app-crashing bug within it. Captured a quick video of it and uploaded it. Then realised it was a blur and I had to slow it down. Thankfully, youtube came to the rescue and finally I have something to update the thread! Hmmm, all in a day's work . A few touches more and it should be ready for TestFlight!
#Dev Update So I was working on a screen to be displayed when the player gets a High Score. It is nearly done. Pretty simplistic and looks decent enough I think. Also has Mr. Mustachio doing a little jiggle in celebration. Oh and some fireworks in the background too!
#Dev Update - Gameplay video So finally I managed to put all the pieces together and get the game up and running as it actually should. Also captured a small video of it and sharing it here. (As an afterthought, added the gameplay video to the first post as well, as people are more likely do see that. Maybe I should add some gif's there as well. hmmm....) But the game looks nearly TestFlight ready and I would probably upload the TestFlight build in a few days. If anyone wants to volunteer for TestFlight right now, just send me the details on [email protected] or reply here!
#Dev Update - TestFlight Beta Testing Hi TouchArcade Community! The iOS TestFlight build got approved by Apple so Mr. Mustachio is now available for external testing! #Dev Update As they say, once you have finished 90% of a project, you have to finish the rest 90% of it! So along with working on fixing bugs, also need to gear up for the release. And that requires quite a bit of work too. So worked on the App Store screenshots and got them fairly decent looking, me thinks. Here they are:
