So I was able to get a build in testflight. I am going to be a putting a call out to testers who would like to give plenty of feedback.
So far the game runs well. I like the randomness of the spells. So far I would say that this would be better suited for portrait orientation, or an option for both. Also, would it be possible to allow faster movement? Otherwise, it's a great game to pick up and play. Do shields work automatically?
I thought about doing the portrait, but I could not get the UI to work with it. I am open to suggestions though. what do you mean by faster movement? and how does the game feel content wise. I have plans for the first update on what content that will get.
So this thread has kind of gone dark for a while. I have been doing a ton of work and I believe I have the game to a shippable state. I will be doing a full post on it tomorrow and then we can talk about the lead up to launch.
Did you get any feedback via test flight instead of here? This just reminded me to download the latest build. Will do today
I did get some pretty good feedback. The build up on itch is a much older build. As I moved more towards touch controls I moved away from keyboard controls. Here is a picture showing just how much has changed visually.
Putting the call out to all testers. I am getting ready to do the final push on testing for Ms. Spell. If anyone is interested in a testflight please contact me. also is there a way to change the initial thread title?
Good news! Ms. Spell has been submitted to the AppStore and passed. All that is left is for me to choose my launch day.
Okay, so this is a going to be fairly quick post about the future of Ms. Spell as I have it planned out. I want to add new content in almost "themed" packs in the future. So for example I might add 4 new enemies 2 spells and 3 treasures. They will all be themed like "Undead" or fire. Some will be automatically unlocked, but most will require in game unlocks Now the next thing that I am really struggling with is the idea of sidequests. I was thinking about doing offshoot areas that only have about 4-5 floors. I have two ways to go about this. One is these are totally different paths to go down, once you get to the end of this path you get a powerful item and go back to whatever level you entered this side area from. The other option is that the book is now located in this new area and perhaps the book has changed. Like instead of the cookbook you can find a tome of the lich and that lets you win.
