Thank you sweetdiss, that's great to hear! We're working hard to get a first pre-alpha out within the next few weeks, looking forward to your feedback, don't want to disappoint!
I've also seen this from pocket gamer/ appspy and it looks really cool could I be in for the test flight
Hello all! The pre-alpha testing of "Fugl" will start very soon (within a week hopefully)! I will dm each one of you soon, but I just wanted to post the minimum requirements. "Fugl" will require about 400 mb of memory. This means that only the following devices will be supported: iPad4 and up iPadMini Retina iPhone5 and up There is a slight possibility that iPad4 and iPhone5 won't be supported in the final game, but I really want to include them, so that's what's the testing will determine. The focus of the first test is just how intuitive the controls are and how the flying feels. More info will follow! I've made a new biome with Marco that will be included in the test, as this represent a "worst-case" scenario regarding the amount of triangles on screen. I'm also leaning towards distributing ad-hoc for now, and not though Testflight, as Testflight is a bit buggy and it also requires Apple review of every build. This will make the testing process much slower, so I'm hoping you people are still interested even though I would need your UDID number and you will have to manually install it though iTunes. Cheers, Johan
Apple's version of TestFlight is terrible compared to the original www.testflightapp.com, which sadly, is going away in late February. I don't even mind the "approval" step - it's the general bugginess of it and/or usability issues. Ability to distribute (external OR internal) is hit or miss. I don't think most users are going to be able to jump through hoops with ad hoc distribution. You might want to look into some of the alternatives: http://venturebeat.com/2014/03/01/7-alternatives-to-testflight/
I for one agree that I really hate the manual iTunes install beta tests. I won't even do them anymore. Any alternatives would be great!
Venus flytraps and some more foliage ... More of a paradise feel! and a gnarly jungle tree to spice up the jungle.
Ok, thanks for the link. I will try to find an alternative, so over-the-air instrallation will be possible. I agree that the itunes option is not a good one.
