Totally, don't find too many PC users nowadays, especially around parts like here, Just ordered a new PC and won't get my upgrade DVD's until sometime in Nov./Dec. But yes I am siked, it's awesome!
Well my dad preordered it so it should come by mail in a few days, hopefully it will be a vast improvement on vista which I hated. The beta testers seem happy so I guess I'll just have to wait and see
Been using the beta since it became available, and preordered it from Amazon when they had it for 50 bucks. I like it much better, than XP and to a lesser extent Vista. I never had any problems with Vista, and liked it a lot, but I really like Win7. I still don't like IE though, it's too slow, still, I much prefer Chrome.
I'm a Mac...except when MS gives me free stuff I have more Macs than people living in my house...3 to me, alone. But, I teach networking so Windows is a necessary evil. Now, I'll be less embarassed to admit that I got a signed copy of Ultimate a week or so ago, along with party favors...I'm supposed to host a launch party. I've been running 7 since January and if I have to show it off, it will certainly be on a few Macs :0) Seriously, though, it runs beautifully and that includes the little Acer Aspire netbook I bought do I wouldn't have to lug the MBP around. Considering that I spend more time on my iPhone, I really shouldn't bother carrying anything else. The most awful part of this hosting a launch party has been dealing with such a huge number of complete idiots on the sponsor site/forum. I can't imagine how most managed an install, when actually grasping the concept of what an OS is confused them. I think that's another reason I love my Macs...they have a way of repelling the idiots of the world :0) Sorry for the rant but between the Mac haters and what seemed to be the largest group of ill-mannered simpletons gathered in one place, I had to. Glad the launch is over but I really love Win 7.
i'm looking forward to it as well...never really had any issues with vista, but have heard lots of good things for windows 7
7 has the speed of vista (and faster), with everything good about xp http://news.softpedia.com/news/Windows-7-vs-Vista-SP2-vs-XP-SP3-Performance-Comparison-124820.shtml http://news.softpedia.com/images/news2/Windows-7-vs-Vista-SP2-vs-XP-SP3-Performance-Comparison-3.jpg
the playing cards they sent along with the OS are cool but the post I quote below typifies the moronic crap I've had to deal with on the launch forum...they can't spell, they are obnoxious, AND if you could see this dude's picture it kind of makes sense: "The Mac community (yeah, all 742 worlwide) are currently holled up in variouse message boards, chatroom, and forums across the internet in an attempt to make one last stand to try and sway users from the awsomeness of Win 7 onto the scourge of the internet known as imac... they are putting up a good fight, but there numbers are dwindling... *sniff sniff*... I only hope they're deaths and dissapointment come swiftly and painlessly. I myself.... don't give a damn if they suffer or not " But free is good, and 7 rocks...i'll just have nightmares about the whole houseparty experience for a while :0)
Well I just got the i7 processor in my new laptop, and from what I hear it's going to SCREAM on windows 7
Boy I can't wait to get it, my Sony vaio laptop can get it free, but I've got to buy it for my home computer. On another note, I never had a problem with vista and am suprised that Microsoft dropped it so quickly
yer kind beein watchd edit: as an amendmum, I love OS X, each software update adds new features or streamlines an OS that i have really come to love, instead of learn a new one every 2 years ( i made the switch when I just couldn't Force Quit [wahtever it was called], I need to Force Quit my apps when they crash, not restart and lose data)... [Are you sure you dont want to get OS X already?] [Y/N]
