Building a country on the go!

This game makes full use of the generous screen estate of the ipad to deliver a full blown detailed city building simulation experience. It is an experience that you will enjoy even if you are not an enthusiast of the genre. The gameplay has been refined for the mobile platform to minimize and eliminate the tediousness that normally accompanies games of this genre. The touchscreen interface has also made navigating the many menus and options a breeze. Hardcore city building simulation fans will rejoice knowing that no gameplay elements have been compromised even if My Country was built for the mobile platform; indeed there is a depth to My Country unseen in other simulation games in the AppStore.

The Excellent and crisp graphics in HD accompanied with real time city building simulation, will instill in you a sense of wonder,fascination and fufillment as you watch your city progress and flourish under your guidance.

You are also never given any opportunities to be bored or aimless with the large variety of tasks, missions and collectables that are available. As you complete more contracts and tasks, you will be able to progress through eras which you will unlock as you gain more experience points via completing in game tasks.

My Country is a gem of a game that is a consummated marriage between solid game mechanics and on-the-go-gaming mentality. I highly recommend My Country to anyone who is seeking a fufilling mobile gaming experience.

My Country is a very well made game, with very realistic and lively graphics and upbeat, happy music. It is not very hard to learn the game. The tutorial guides you through the beginnings stages in creating your “dream city,” but the guidance does not stop there. As your city grows, the game shows you what to do next in upgrading your city through the “New Ventures,” which, for me, was very convenient. The “New Ventures”, however, does not stop you from customizing and making your city your own. It became frustrated at times when the items I needed to hire a person were not available, but it showed me in a broad sense how the real world works. I recommend this game for people who enjoy these types of games, especially that it’s free. Even if you aren’t a fan of these types of games, you may find yourself hooked on this game for a while. The only thing I would change is if the game had a help button. Aside from that, it’s a great game.

Simply the best!
My Country is basically a RTS/Country building game in which you need to build your own country. The game has incredible and detailed graphics with excellent background music. Animation takes place in real time too. The User interface is rather clean and distinctions between components are crystal clear. By pinching and spreading your fingers against the screen, you can easily zoom in to view to smallest structures or zoom out to get the overall view of your country.

You start with nothing, as usual, and then build a huge, hopefully thriving city with roads, transport system bustling industrial and residential districts, parks and so on.. You need to carefully manage your budget and in the meantime continue developing your country. There are two kinds of currencies in game –Game Dollars and Country Bucks. The game initially provides you with quite a lot of money for constructing initial buildings and you can also buy more country bucks and game dollars via in app purchases.

The game basically revolves around constructing various buildings, recruiting various professionals like Entrepreneur, Taxi Driver, Teacher etc depending on the requirements and fulfilling various contracts. You earn money and Experience points from various buildings as well as by fulfilling various contracts. With experience points higher levels and eras are unlocked which provide you with even more buildings, new ventures and thus more revenue options. Most of the buildings also require hiring various professionals while in order to hire professionals you need to first fulfill their demands. You also need to keep track of energy requirement of the city. Further, you can change the landscape and construct lakes and canals to make your country look more beautiful.

One request for the developer is to add a help/tutorial section for the newbies to simulation genre.

Overall, My Country is a deep and enjoyable game that is flexible enough to be played at any pace and entertaining enough for all audiences.

So the game is free, I don't own an iPad, but since I can download it and lose nothing I can write a glowing review of a game I didn't play and have a chance to win?

This is why app store reviews are becoming more and more meaningless.

Actually my point was a general one - app store reviews are becoming worthless because there are a number of "contests" that solicit "false" reviews. This game might be awesome - but the fact remains I could indeed write a review without having played it and win (developer himself said there are plenty of Android reviews around - if I was into copying one of those, or combo of those, or...) Maybe that helps the sales of THIS game but it degrades the app store reviewing process as a whole.

THAT was my point - the more contests there are like this one, the less reviews matter.

When I first saw the screenshots, they remind me a sim game Paradise Island which I really addicted for a long time.

guess what? they come from the same company, then I dont need to worry about the game's quality, and the truth is I am very satisfied with this sim game. This is even better compare to Paradise Island, in this game you can even hire people work for you.

This is a great game, I don't know how I went past this sim game. I love sim games, and after years of playing simcity, I can tell you that this is probably the closest you are going to get besides the official version made by EA.

I love the way you can make buildings, and hurry them. Although this is a great game, it is too easy as you start off with loads and loads of cash, but that quickly doesn't really matter as you need a lot of money to buy buildings and upgrades as you progress throughout the game. This game is like it was meant to be made on touch screen.

The mapping on this game is pretty big, and you can explore throughout it by using roads. The taxi system is also pretty cool, and it is used as public transportation. The residential system is pretty cool, you can use it to employ them in jobs, similar to tiny tower. The graphics are superb, especially in HD graphics. The music inside the game is relaxing, it's a great game to pick up and play after a long day of work.

Overall, this game is an awesome sim game, I can't believe I went past it, I would pay money for this game. This game makes me want to delete simcity deluxe off my iPad. This is a 5 star game, and it is definitely worth it. Get it now, it's also free!
