Ideal for outdoor use, I've tried many other pedometer applications, but all pale in comparison to the accuracy Pedometer Ultimate GPS+ equivelates to. It literally tracks my every step location, distance travelled and so much more while even taking ground elevation under consideration! Most of the existing ios GPS apps tend to focus on distance training and imrpovement of those numbers. Your typical accelerometer ios app will tend to only care about calories burned. Pedometer Ultimate GPS+ has all of this and so much more built in and available either from the start or via in-app purchase. High quality voice announcements really show the level of commitment the developers are willing to put forth!

Im impressed with this pedometer.
This nice app helps you keep track of your workout! You can check how much calories burned, your speed, lap dist/time like your running a marathon.

"I have to say it is truly nice fitness app for those who love to run , but obviously it doesn't support the ipod touch as the description , especially without wifi network...
it works well with the iphone 4 , which makes me satisfacted ~
Easy to use and share my jogging status with friends , maybe a little mistake in the map for users outside the USA ?

I've tested the app and it is a really good pedometer even though it is a lite version and many features are required to upgrade to unlock. I still find it usable and it has quite a number of useful features in lite version like the main screen, it covers all kind of information that I needed and I can just tap to change graph that I'm interested. Another feature I like is in my profile section especially goal setting for desired weight, the app will tell you what is your BMI and whether you are normal, under weight, or obese and what is your range or BMI after you set your detail. Another great feature I like is sharing and exporting, share my result or my history to social networking sites is great, so I could compare and compete with my friends! But, I've some problem regarding login to twitter. I couldn't login to twitter as it prompt me some errors like HTTP error 401. Facebook login seems not working too. When I tap login, it launch Facebook app and load my wall/feed and it is not asking to allow/authorize pedometer. :/

Awesome free fitness app for runners
Works perfectly with iPhone 4 IOS 5.0
One of the best fitness app for runners and it's free. Pedometer Ultimate is very simple to use with large varity features. It tracks steps traveled, distance traveled, calories used, time traveled, current speed, average speed for each run. It lets you count your pulse for 15 secs and log data. It also lets you set up an alarm for goals of calories usage, distance and activity time.
And much much more features are waiting to be explored.

Stunningly accurate!

I'm an avid user of Nike+GPS, so skeptically I tried out Ultimate GPS+ and was completely blown away!
So many options and settings are available with this free version!

Gets the job done
The app works really well Its extreamly sensitive and able to record the slightest movement
You can add your own music to the playlist it records heartrate, calories used and feature a map as well that rotates as you move asign a route then check your progress along the way

there are a few in app purchases but they are well worth the price.So if you run jog or even just take long walks the free app is more than enough then when you're ready to step it up upgrade and get going

My review name is AirGear+. Thank you very much.

Pedometer Ultimate GPS+ is a professional tracking app for runners, joggers or even just for walking. It includes the ability to record most parameters including Speed, Steps, Distance, Time, Location and even Elevation. The interface is user-friendly and straightforward. You can view the data and graph on screen at the same time.

Other great functions include supporting of iPod playlists, you can listen to your own music while running, and it can also function as a body tracker, you can enter and record your body parameters. This allows you to easily check whether you are achieving your goal. On top of that, you can take notes and share your goals through Twitter, Facebook and Email. Because of utilizing GPS, you can also see the route you're walking/running being shown on screen.

Pedometer Ultimate GPS+ has a lot more features if you decided to pay a few dollars to upgrade to Pro or Ultra version. After upgrading, it'll also have Full History, Announcements, Data Export, Predefined Routes among many more. It's definitely worth considering if you're serious in keeping fit.

A Necessary Tool!

Pedometer Ultimate GPS+ is a must have on your idevice! Taking advantage of the built in gyroscope, gps and internals, this app elevates running workouts to extreme levels and doing so with wonderful details that you'll wish to know. Questions like, how many calories did I burn or how far did I run today are now able to be answered. Being able to unlock more options as I feel necessary is a nice, clever unpressured way to try out this app out!

This app has a much prettier interface than most of the other fitness apps.

It is also useful to have the amount of calories burned that others do not. It has the general speed and distance and all that jazz, as well.

A few features are not able to be used but can be bought via in app-purchases, but the app is certainly usable as of now. I'll take this one on my next few runs and maybe look into IAPs later. Great freebie!
