Candywriter is pleased to announce the release of Win Apps for iPhone and iPod touch. Win Apps gives US App Store users the chance to pull a new lottery ticket scratch card each day. If you scratch away your card and reveal 3 like icons, you win a promo code to that app! Each night at 12AM Pacific, you become eligible to receive a new scratch card. As developers, we are given "promo codes", or free copies of our apps, to give to our customers. However, we find that we are updating our apps faster than we can give out the codes and more often than not, these codes expire without ever getting used. Believe it or not, we indie developers actually like giving out promo codes as it generates buzz and draws attention to our apps. Therefore we decided to create Win Apps to help users and developers alike. We launched on Friday with four developers on board: Agimat, Avalinx, Candywriter, and M Digital Media. This is a really cool app and i won first try, but my only complaint is that it needs better apps that you can win
I did not win. Not complaining, just saying. Seems cool, are there restrictions as to how often you can win? Or will the app prevent that?
There are no restrictions - everyone has the same chance to win a new code whether you have won one previously or not.
Shouldn't this thread be in "Games" or New Releases? It's a game where you win things...? Anyways, this is an awesome idea and it will only get better as more games/apps are added and more devs participate. Thanks Candywriter!
