~Edit~ Winner announced! Alright guys and gals. We have done our drawing, so now I guess it's time to post the video. ~Edit End~ Do you want an iPhone 3G but don't want to fork out the $299 for one? Well 1026 Development has good news for you. We are giving away one iPhone3G to one lucky winner. The Rules Every person can have up to 12 entries to the prize drawing. You earn entries by downloading applications by 1026 Development from the iTunes App Store. Each paid application will give you 1 (one) entry. There is a limit of one entry gained by downloading any one paid application. You can gain an additional entry from downloading any of the five free applications in the iTunes App Store by 1026 Development. There is a limit to 1 entry gained by free downloads. To prove ownership of applications please forward all iTunes Store receipts to [email protected]. Only applications shown on receipt(s) will be factored into the total number of entries. Be sure to email all applicable receipts by Sunday, June 21st 2009 by 12:00pm EST. Full details can be found at www.1026development.com/winaniphone
How do you forward iTunes receipts? Or can we just take a screenshot of the page? Is that good enough?
My personal favorite is iDice. Which is why we made a free version, to get it into the hands of as many people as possible. If you like puzzles I would recommend Sumcession and/or Black Out. If you have a little one, Math Zapper can help with their mathematics. Pig is also a very good get up and go type game. It really depends what you are looking for.
Does it count as a paid entry if we... A. Had already purchased it (before the contest started) And B. If we recieved it via promo code but it is normally a paid app And on an unrelated note, are you announcing it on other sites too??? Thanks!
Well I can't use the phone at all because I had ATT and hated it. So I switched to Verizon which imo has much better service.
Because I bought an iPhone 3G and am on a 2 year contract for that. Which means AT&T would make me pay the unsubsidized price, which is at minimum $599
Previous purchases and promo code purchases will count towards 1/2 of an entry. Ex. If you have purchased 2 apps before today, and have 2 from promo codes, you will get a total of two entries. Provided you can supply the iTunes recipt for these purchases. And this contest will be advertised around the Internet, not just here at Touch Arcade.
Too bad none of the apps are worth the $0.99+. Talk about shovelware. Let's see should I spend my $0.99 on an excellent, high quality title like Uniwar, Carjack Steets, Stoneloops...or some crappy dice game. LOL!
That sucks, exactly the reason I have an iPod touch, well the $30 month internet fee turned me away as well...
Are you sure about that? I don't think that's necessarily the case, unless it's specific to the iPhone. My girlfriend has AT&T and recently switch over from a subsidized LG Shine (about a year into her contract) to a 1st Gen iPhone her dad gave her. They didn't charge her a penny. I think you'd only have to pay the unsubsidized price if you wanted to purchase the iPhone 3GS, not switch over from one won in a contest. EDIT: I just noticed that you don't actually win the phone. You just get a $300 gift card. That's actually quite misleading. You ONLY get the phone if you also sign up for a 2 year contract to subsidize the phone. This won't work at all with people who are currently subsidizing iPhones. This seems a little sleazy, if you ask me.
Yeah, I see you answered your own question in the EDIT But yeah that's why most people would still have to pay $300 even after winning this.
