Jewel Drop Panic Reviewed by Melvin2898. App store name Melvin. Jewel Drop Panic is a fun a title that puts a unique spin on classic gameplay. Right off the back there is a shiny title page. You can choose play, settings, highscores and help. Basically Jewels are filling up an area and you have to select 3 groups of a certain jewel color. If you select one Jewel you lose points. You can play it with the iPod in landscape and or portrait mode. Depending on how you play the level will get smaller so you will have less room for the level to fill up. This increases the difficultly. Settings allow you to choose 3 different modes. Easy, medium, and hard. You can switch this at the menu. So you can put it on whatever you want it to be. High scores are based off of Easy, Medium and Hard. The Help option tells you how to play the game. But for some reason there is an ad covering the top of the help article. I noticed a few problems with Jewel Drop Panic. The game doesn't have any music or sounds. This does give freedom for us to listen to our own music but I don't really use my iPod for music. There are no sounds when I touch anything in the app. I also feel that it could offer more modes. Most people don't like ads but I suppose this is how the developer(s) are making money. The price tag of free is a steal and I don't know how long this will last so I say get it now. I give Jewel Drop Panic a 4/5 star rating. Get it now!
Reviewed, followed and twitted (@xxxxxxx). I just hope this time the developer cares to reply to this thread informing us about the winner. In the last 2 contests (Santa Barf and Cookie Dunk) he never told us who won.
Thanks again for all the great reviews. I appriciate the feedback. Be assured the winner will be announced here on toucharcade as well as on twitter. I apologize if that wasn't clear in previous giveaways.
