It was released when, this past April? So if I was to take a guess, I'd say it's April for iPads, June for iPhones, and September for iPods.
I never wanted an iPad, never thought I'd want one, but after having a dream where I had one.... Well all of a sudden I want one! Plus I mostly use my iPod for web browsing nowadays and I'd love to have an iPad for that same purpose. Don't want a first gen iPad though, because I know the second gen iPad will be so much better.
Funny, I started this thread on sept. 9 and then the next day, all the tech-related sites have rumors about a new facetime-enabled iPad coming out by Christmas or Q1 of next year... Awesome!
Thats awesome! A camera was all it really needed aside from a few bugs here an there that needed fixed.
I doubt there will be new iPad out by Christmas. Apple needs to hype up their products with their big events first. With that being said I do think there will be a new iPad coming out every year just like the iPhones and iPod touches.
Could be a new ipad with a camera before christmas. http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/10/09/10/apple_to_move_aggressively_on_facetime_camera_equipped_ipads.html
I seriously hope it doesnt. Mine hasnt reached me yet. Atleast another week or two before I could finally get my hands on one. Dont you dare update it just 3 months after I bought it apple >.< Anyways, rumor sites are going to keep spreading rumors about any info they get. But its not in apple's nature to update an iDevice before a whole year. iPad is still selling very well with absolutely ZERO competition. Why will apple be stupid enough to update it 4 months earlier? Not gonna happen.
i just found netflix.. and digging it.. i totally could see my self using a tablet for surfing the web, reading, and movies.. before i buy one tho i am waiting to see what happens with the android market.. this Christmas we are gonna get hammered with android tablets. i have a feeling thats the rout im gonna go. if there were more universal apps.. well id be dumb not to go with a ipad ( i have invested quite a bit in my ipod.. but i just cant see my self buying software twice... ) dose not mean i wont go with a ipad.. just means this christmas im gonna be looking at the android tablets. chris.
On the Android Market, I can always find what I need, but not what I want. It's sole purpose is to support cellphones. The AppStore is different. Obviously, the SDK is less open-source, but you'll find everything you need, and everything you want. Getting an Android tablet would be like buying a Droid 2 without the capability to make calls.
