I knew I wasn't the only one who felt this way. Not only have I lost semi-interest in Star Defense, but TD games in general and I don't know why. SD was the ultimate TD game I was waiting for, but its been teasing us too long. I also hate how they're treating it like a console game, for me that's a turn off. But it's funny how we have a short attention span. Once the game is out, we'll all be waiting in line to buy it. However, I would've prefer to buy it around the time of its earlier hype, oh well.
I am not happy with the delays of the game but the same thing happened to Need for Speed and when it was released you know what happened because the game was very good. At the same time I prefer the delay of Star defense because is for good reasons for they to perfect the balance. The balance in a TD is the more important thing for me. I will buy it with no doubt the day it´s released. I hope it´s soon because I´m looking everyday for it. Also there is not much TD games, I have like 10 but I love this genre and with some new things and quality I will buy all new TD games. Thanks NGmoco and good luck
Don't know when this one will be released, but lots of games are coming with E3 and wwdc which means there's going to be an "overload" syndrome. There will be too much to buy at a time, I for one will only be able to buy a couple and I'm already holding back on a few. I'm likely to loose interest in a few "major" games just because there will be too many at the same time and I won't be able to buy them all, and I'm not even talking about finding the time to play all these games! Oh well, happy problem!
I completely agree to your points. I have been eagerly awaiting SD since the announcement, with high hopes that it was to be released last month. Sadly, all the hype became nothing. There have been many excellent games which were released last month, not to mention TD games such as Sweetwater Defense. I think I will still buy SD, but perhaps not during the initial release. I can probably now wait till there's a price drop.
Right - At this point, might as well wait for a price drop. Especially with the flood of incredible games on the way.
Yea, I think they started building hype much too early. I would have liked to have seen a release after the week some members of the press were playing it and posting it to their Twitter.
100% agree, I don't know if that was the original plan but it should have been. You can build up interest. You can build up interest slowly if you feed it enough. But when you can't build it any further you have to deliver or you will go in reverse... I have this feeling that lots of devs want to release around WWDC, there's going to be an overload and a lot will get buried in the noise.
Yea. WWDC will be busy enough even without game releases, so I wouldn't want to be launching at that time.
No one else noticed this? Click on the ad on TA, and you'll find a link that says "Countdown June 5-7" or something like that. It flashes by kinda quickly so it's hard to see but yeah. Again, if this game is good, you'll buy it. Who cares if they started hype too early and whatnot, I'm sure all of you will buy if it's good.

It's funny how the video on that link that 'Jeep posted says the game is coming on May 2009. They should have updated it.
It's been approved and it's being released Monday according to 148apps.com, that is in my RSS feed from them but cant find it on their website???
don't punish the developers! "Don't release games with bugs!" "Don't drop unfinished games on us." And now, "I may have lost interest and might not buy SD." Wahhh, guys. I mean, come on. Everyone and their brother knows that unless you're EA, the exact release date/time is iffy at best with the app store. If SD looks like your type of game, check it out. If not, don't. Please stop whining though. I want it badly also. I get frustrated waiting on delays also, but thems the breaks. I'd be more frustrated dropping change then not having the game work correctly. It's happened...a few times.
if it aint on the site idk if that is completely reliable, i would wait til its on their official site to make any calls, i would like to think it will be out on monday tho
Later this month? The whole game is finished and done with everything. I'm pretty sure they've submitted already, maybe a week ago since they said it was done around last week. I don't know about you guys, but this seems to be coming out very soon.
I totally agree. Don't you guys think that Ngmoco wants the game out as much as we want?? I'm pretty sure they've been finalizing and tweaking the game the past weeks. Be happy there is an iphone developer who cares about the quality of its products. Quit whining already and wait until the game gets in the appstore. It must be soon. I hope the game will be as awesome as I expect it to be
