Will 3.0 unlock speaker output with headphones plugged in?

Discussion in 'Off-Topic Lounge' started by ta11on, May 30, 2009.

  1. I'm asking this because I bought a SwitchEasy Thumbtack mic for my iPod Touch 2G. When it is plugged in the 2G thinks the mic is headphones and the speaker output is disabled. I would like to be able to keep on the speaker output with my mic plugged in. Anyone know if this will be possible?

Um, I doubt Apple will take this into consideration considering how a ridiculously small percentage of people put mics into the headphone jack.

I really hope they do this. Then I can finally play Ocarina properly.

Apple'll probably run some adds for their earbud/mics.
