Still no ahh... controller support eh? Get my hopes up every time I see the literal image of a game controller in the settings. Maybe swap that out because it's literally an image of the one option that is not available.
I'm glad someone is checking I'm testing the android version 1.6 now for release. (ios was released two weeks ago) then I am working on a half point update 1.6.5 to try and add gamepad support, so that I can also release a pc and max version. hopefully it will go well
Gamepad support continues and all the buttons are working A - jump B - attack /exit options X - contextual actions (pick up, light fire ...) Y - opens updated action wheel Left bumper - zoom in Right bumper - zoom out Left trigger - aim Right trigger - fire / skill Start / dpad up - options Dpad down - take photo taking a photo with the dpad is a lot of fun and a great way to easily get nature shots.
Rudstaffs are made from Rudwood trees, slow growing hardwoods found in the central forests of Savar. Rudstaffs were common among followers of early, nature-based Nimian faiths - used for simple defence, walking aid, and as a conduit to commune with nature Wilderless 1.6.1
The new action wheel is your shortcut to all things player related - game pad and touch. And you can take a photo anytime by clicking down on your dPad. Wilderless 1.6.1
'Memories' (which save everything about a moment so you can visit it anytime) now save a screenshot and twice the number of slots. This is a big improvement I wanted to make for a while, and using the Easy Save Unity plugin to save and load photos really simplified the process
The FireFlower Bow was the final, and trickiest, action to set up for the upcoming gamepad update. Tap B button for a one touch "quick-shot", or hold the left trigger for an over-the-shoulder aiming view. Wilderless 1.6.1
In Wilderless 1.6.1 the buttons can be locked/unlocked/reset and dragged anywhere on screen. So left handed, right handed, however you feel most comfortable you can set it up that way, or leave them dynamic so you can drag as you play.
1.6.1 includes a framework for magic. For now there are a few basic enchantments to make sure the gamepad works with magic, but it's a system built for customization and expansion for an upcoming dedicated magic update.
Gamepad Update Open Beta 1.6.1 Anyone can test Wilderless 1.6.1 open beta on iOS for free. It's the gamepad update with a bunch of mixed new features. Use this link to install it, connect a gamepad, and let me know if it works. You'll need an iPad Pro+, iPhone X+, or iPad Air 4+ https://testflight.apple.com/join/o7ANlIwl
Update 1.7 first steps: Roads always connect between Points of Interest. Wilderless has 2 POIs - Ruins and Towers. This update adds 3 POIs - settlements with 1 to 5 dwellers: • Camps - movable dwellings • Farms - incl. Vineyards/ranches/orchards • Inns - refresh travellers
Instead of spawning objects along the roads I spawn proxies to represent them. As you approach the proxies place copies of the actual objects, so roadside trim only exists around you. Next is grabbing these from an object pool #Wilderless 1.7
Is there a way to move or turn off the camera button? I frequently bump it by accident while I’m playing . Otherwise I’m pretty blown away by this.
Thanks Jack I'm so glad to hear this yes you can turn off that camera button - you're not the first person to mention this and I'm looking for a better solution. goto Options - mods - photo mode and in the bottom left there is a button you can use to turn that persistent camera button on or off.
Thanks for the support I created an updated trailer for Wilderless too. I've added a lot over the years and I though a new trailer was a good idea. iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wilderless/id1485263737 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Protopop.Wilderless
