This. It is a terrific game, for sure. But is it the best iOS game ever? Is that the one game that sucks you in so much you don't download any other games and you still play it on end even on this day?

Was it a game that told a great story? Was it a game with the coolest combat? Was the game pretty? Was the game a grind?

It had its good but it also had its bad. Best game ever that no other game can touch for a while? I disagree.

Play Punch Out!!, and tell me IB isn't just that game, with improvements. They are both fantastic, but Infinity Blade is not original.

Exactly. Infinity blade has an innovative combat system and gorgeous graphics. But that's it. The story isnt that great that it would suck you in, there are no "real" RPG elements, the gameplay hours are short. Not to mention that you can't even walk around.

Here's the Google-translated interview. It's pretty much just talking about Russian localization, not really any details on the new game. This is probably why it was in Russian in the first place. But if you want to read it, here it is:

We have already become a tradition to interview the leading developers of iOS applications. After an interview with the developers Yandex.Disk, we decided to interview the giant development applications iOS Gameloft. As you know Gameloft is not too fond disclose all the secrets of his cuisine, and especially coming out soon games. Today our questions answered Nefidova Pauline - Marketing and PR manager of the Russian market the company Gameloft. We read ...
John Singer (iDow.ru): Will Gameloft and continue to develop games on the Unreal Engine 3, and how many games come out on this engine in the near future?

Gameloft - Pauline Nefidova: We will soon release our first game on the engine, Unreal, whose name I can not disclose, but soon, you will know it. It was developed long and carefully, so we hope that this game will appeal to all our fans, without exception. Our company is always looking to the future, and we strive to use the most of modern technology in this regard, it seems very interesting to use this engine as Unreal Engine in the future.

John Singer (iDow.ru): Regarding the localization of games in Russian, Gameloft plans to continue to support the Russian language for their applications, whether legacy applications have been translated into Russian?

Gameloft - Pauline Nefidova: With the recent moment for our company, Russia has become one of the priority markets for development, so we now do our best to locate our games, to adapt the title of Russian-speaking users. Especially for our Russian-speaking fans, we started this site Twitter, where we regularly inform them about the news of our company in Russian. Therefore, we can say with confidence that our new projects will be localized in the future for the Russian market.

John Singer (iDow.ru): With regard to «Freemium» games, some people do not like free games, because they are not exactly high quality. Many people swear by Gameloft for «Freemium», what is that?

Gameloft - Pauline Nefidova: Initially, our company has made mobile games for hardcore players and specialized just for them, but the mobile phone market is growing, and with them grow qualitatively and quantitatively our users. The boundaries of the use of smart phones started to grow, the smartphone has ceased to be unaffordable. In this regard, we saw that there was a need not only to hardcore games, but in the games for all the so-called casual games. Therefore, we are now beginning to develop this area, and it showed his best side. So, our game, "Ice Age: Hamlet," which was released in April 2012, is still kept in the tops of Russian AppStore, which testifies to the immense popularity of the game among the various players. But at the same time, we do not forget about our true fans. We regularly release our games for hardcore players, among them the recently released game: "The new Spider-Man," "The Dark Knight: The Legend», «NOVA3». We are trying to reach the market and to offer each user a high quality game to your liking.

John Singer (iDow.ru): How «Gameloft» refers to the competitors, what are the criteria considered himself a "Best Company" for the development of iOS applications - (unless of course thinks)? Their motto?

Gameloft - Pauline Nefidova: Gameloft goal is always to make games that would have been nice to play the maximum number of players around the world. Because, ultimately, not the manufacturer and the consumer determines who is the best company.

John Singer (iDow.ru): Will expand Gameloft, a mean release games on other platforms PC, Mac OS, or can be boxes?

Gameloft - Pauline Nefidova: As mentioned above, we try to make games available for the maximum number of users using different devices. In the past we have had experience in the production of games for various platforms, so we do not reject this model of development and plan to release in early 2013 for the UNO game consoles such as Sony PlayStation vita, and Nintendo vita.

John Singer (iDow.ru): Tell us the whole process of developing a game, how many people are working on a project, as you have all this going on - step by step! Let's just say, from pencil to exit the App Store.

Gameloft - Pauline Nefidova: Gameloft The company has more than 6,000 people engaged in the manufacture of games around the world. Our studios are represented in every continent. We are a global corporation, where a single project is a team of workers from different countries. Why single out exactly how many people are involved in every game is a very complex process. Stages of production games are very similar to the stages of production of any product. These are: the idea, development, quality control, release games on the respective sites, marketing, and further support the game.

John Singer (iDow.ru): On the eve of release of the new game engine Unreal Engine 4 - Gameloft is planning to develop games on this engine in the near future? Or again, wait a year until the company decides on this?!

Gameloft - Pauline Nefidova: There is a difference between the engine Unreal Engine for PC and consoles. Announced this summer engine Unreal Engine 4, was introduced for the PC. Currently, our company has developed the game on the Unreal Engine 3 for games on iOS and Android, which will soon see the light.

John Singer (iDow.ru): In his spare time, let's break for lunch, what your employees do: play, relax, discuss ideas ...?

Gameloft - Pauline Nefidova: We always encourage all the possible ways of development of our employees. For example, in his spare time employees Kharkov studio can play mind games or workout in the gym.

John Singer (iDow.ru): Thank you for taking precious time to iDow.ru. What can you wish for your fans and admirers iDow.ru?

Gameloft - Pauline Nefidova: Thank you for playing our games, write reviews, it is very important to us. We are getting better, thanks to you, our players!

Cliffnotes: Nothing to do with the game.

It has become tradition for us to interview leading iOS developers. After the interview with Yandex.Disk, we decided to interview the iOS development giant Gameloft. As you know, Gameloft don't like to reveal their secrets, especially for upcoming games. Today our questions are answered by Polina Nefidova - the Marketing and PR Manager from the Russian wing of Gameloft.

John Singer (iDow.ru): Does Gameloft have any plans to develop games utilizing Unreal Engine 3? How many games will come out using this engine in the near future?

Gameloft - Polina Nefidova: Very soon we will be releasing out first Unreal game, the name of which I cannot reveal yet, but you will find out soon enough. It had a long and thorough development, so we hope that every one of our fans will enjoy it. Our company always looks towards the future and we aim to always use the most modern technologies, meaning that we are very interested in using tools like the Unreal Engine in the future.

John Singer (iDow.ru): About Russian localizations - does Gameloft plan to have Russian language support in their future applications? Will any past applications be translated to Russian?

Gameloft - Polina Nefidova: Starting very recently, Russia has become one of the primary markets for expansion for our company, so we are currently trying to localize our games as much as possible, to adapt them to Russian users. In fact, just for our Russian fans, we started a brand new "Contact" page, which we regularly update with the latest news in Russian. We can say with absolute certainty that our future projects will be localized for the Russian market.

John Singer (iDow.ru): About "Freemium" games, some users don't like free games as they are often of poor quality. Many are angry at Gameloft for "going Freemium". Can you comment on this?

Gameloft - Polina Nefidova: Originally our company created games for the hardcore gamers and specialized in them, but the mobile market is growing and with it grows the quantity and quality of our users. The boundaries of smartphone uses have expanded and the smartphone has stopped being something inaccessible and unaffordable. Thanks to this, we saw a demand not just for hardcore games, but also games for everyone, so-called casual games. We have since started growing in that direction and it has shown a very favorable turnaround. Our game "Ice Age: Village", which came out in April 2012, is still holding one of the TOP spots of the Russian App Store, which only serves to show that the game is hugely popular among different kinds of players. At the same time though, we have not forgotten about our true fans. We regularly release our games for hardcore players, among them the recently released "The Amazing Spider-Man", "The Dark Knight Rises" and "N.O.V.A. 3". We are trying to reach as much of the market as possible, giving every user a game to their taste.

John Singer (iDow.ru): What does Gameloft think about their competition? Under what criteria would you call yourself the "best" (if there is one, of course)? Is there a motto?

Gameloft - Polina Nefidova: Gameloft's aim has always been to create games that many kinds of players from around the world would find enjoyable. At the end of the day, it's the players and not the developer that decides who the best companies are.

John singer (iDow.ru): Does Gameloft have any plans to expand? I mean, releasing games to different platforms - PC, Mac OS, or even consoles?

Gameloft - Polina Nefidova: As mentioned above, we aim to create games that are available to as many users as possible, using many different devices. We have had experience releasing games for different platforms in the past, so we aren't rejecting the model and, in fact, we are planning to release UNO for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo DS in early 2013.

John singer (iDow.ru): Can you describe the development process of a game, how many people work on it, how everything comes together, step by step. Starting from the drawing board and ending on the App Store.

Gameloft - Polina Nefidova: Gameloft consists of over 6000 people developing games, all over the world. There is a Gameloft studio on every continent. We are a global corporation, where a single project has a whole team of developers from many different countries. This makes it hard to specifically say how many people are working on any given game. The steps in the development process are similar to those in any product: idea, development, quality control, release of the game on corresponding platforms, marketing, ongoing support of the game.

John Singer (iDow.ru): In the wake of release of Unreal Engine 4, does Gameloft have any plans to develop games on this engine on the near future? Will we have to wait a whole year again before they decide to make the move!?

Gameloft - Polina Nefidova: There is a difference between the Unreal Engine for PC and consoles. The Unreal Engine 4 announced this summer was introduced for PC. For now, we have a game developed in Unreal Engine 3 that will see light of day very soon.

John Singer (iDow.ru): In their spare time, let's say a break, what do your employees do: play games, rest, brainstorm ideas...?

Gameloft - Polina Nefidova: We always encourage different our employees to advance in as many different directions as possible. For example, the employees at the Harkov studio can play intellectual games [[aka chess - E7]] or have a workout at the gym.

John Singer (iDow.ru): Thanks for taking some of your valuable time to talk to us here at iDow.ru. Is there anything you would like to say to your fans and fans of iDow.ru?

Gameloft - Polina Nefidova: Thank you for playing our games and for writing reviews, it is very important to us. We get better thanks to you, our players!

Do you think someone would go to so much effort for a joke?! Joke would be on them for wasting their life!..

I found the NOVA 3 pictures before they were released... GL isn't very good at hiding them. And they have a specific site for all their media to go on, however it is locked... I'm sure with a computer literate person, it could be got past.
