There's now a hands-on article in pocketgamer and looks like we can hope for a great game. I'm just wondering why Gameloft doesn't use the controls like in Hero of Sparta 2. I really liked it and enjoyed that game. Not just button-smashing
It isn't just button smashing though. Hold the button down for another attack and as you get further you get more buttons for elemental attacks.
One single and simple question: is it button-smashing? EDIT: ok, just saw your other post. I couldn't stand TDKR gameplay, so I'm glad that this isn't just button-smashing.
The multiplayer actually does give you that feeling. But I can see you being a graphic whore! (Anyone else thinking I'm being harsh, I am not, just kidding with my palringo buddie )
lol nooo. Mc3 looks very average, imo compared to what's being released now. It's revolutionary in that the multiplayer doesn't just remind me of CoD, it's nearly identical to CoD. I'd give mc2's multiplayer a little more love if I didn't have these awful memories of one shot and speed hackers in facility...then again ZXD hackers drive me crazy. Idk, I'm just sick of the entire modern combat series, too many hackers, no support from GL, it's just time for a new game. On topic: it seems as though the animations are some of the worst yet for a Gameloft game, and that's sure saying a lot. I really hope they're cleaned up, otherwise I really can't see myself getting into the game.
However did you get an early copy of the game? Anyway, are the animations as bad as they look in the trailer?
He is Gamereactor editor. He has a review build I'd imagine. Great site as well. Well worth bookmarking if you haven't already. I visit there regularly. I like his take on the game so far so I'm kinda hopeful that the game will be good.
Well, make my prediction twice as much as yours...hah! Anyway, I feel disappointed after seeing the gameplay trailer. With the name being Wild Blood, I thought this will be a little more realistic hacknslash were blood drips and stuff like that. (i.e. actual fighting). But now, all you see is powerups, lights dancing around sword swings....its too fake. I wanted a genuine adventure hacknslash with a nice story but I guess I'll have to wait a lil more. PS: I'm still waiting for a RotK-esque hacknslash on mobile! PSS: When do you guys think this will land? Based on Nova 3, the game landed 1 month after the teaser and 2 weeks after the first trailer. So we could be looking at first or latest second week of September.
Pure speculation here, but from past experience, Gameloft usually releases screenshots, then a teaser, then possibly 1 or 2 gameplay trailers, and then the actual game. Since we got majority of those things already, I'd say...next week at the earliest. I've been following Gameloft since the beginning, and that's usually the path they take.
