In the US, Best Buy starting on Sunday is having buy 1 get 1 50% off on select Wii U (and 3DS) games, including SM3DW. Full list isn't available yet. If you have a Gamers Club Unlocked membership, the 20% off of new games stacks with this too. Also 20% off on eShop cards (may only be for $20 cards - that part is unclear) - nothing to do with Gamers Club Unlocked.
BestBuy.ca is completely sold out of the Mario and Luigi Wii U bundle. No option to order it now http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/nintendo-wii-nintendo-wii-u-32gb-mario-luigi-deluxe-set-black-wii-u/10274171.aspx?path=9c485ac27bd1e56d95d728b871eda836en02
Those and the Windwaker consoles are still available at Best Buy US. I do get the impression that sales of the Wii U are picking up this season, though. I will be interested to see sales figures for the Wii U after the holiday is over. I'm sure it will be nothing like the PS4 and X1, but maybe Wii U is on its way up.
I think so too. The best new games to play this holiday season are on the Wii U imo, and 2014 looks bright for releases too. Tbh, i've been having immense fun with Nintendoland and i'm savouring every level in 3D world. Nintendo games in HD are really quite something to see
I'm really curious to see what the final product will be like for X since Monolith soft recently hired more people to help finish touching up the graphics, indicating that what we've seen still is an incomplete version
http://playeressence.com/seems-like-the-wii-u-isnt-as-dead-as-the-media-wants-you-to-think/#more-37334 Seems the Wii U outsold the PS4 last week.
Not in the UK. The PS4 sold more in two days than the Wii U did in an entire year. By quite a large number too: 250k PS4 sales vs 150k Wii U sales. Smashed.
PS4 was outsold most likely because of supply constraints on the PS4. However the Wii U does seem to be doing better.
There's a steady hype building for X, i hope it lives up to it! So that's 250k of people in the uk whos excitement probably didn't last past thr unboxing and initial switch on.... You know, that moment when they realised they'd bought a console with sub-standard launch titles. Same goes for xbone owners too.
I've been playing and loving my Wii U for a while now. Finally getting my money's worth out of the system I bought almost a year ago Super Mario 3D World, Toki Tori 1 and 2, Game & Wario, just sketching in Miiverse, and then Super Mario World, Donkey Kong NES, and also some Wii games! So fun
The wonderful 101 is a great game and those who say Nintendo needs to make New IP, well put your money where your mouth it and buy this. Nintendo funded and helped develop the title hence its a new Nintendo IP
Funny, it seems practically everyone is loving the console. Maybe they looked at the games before handing over their cash and knew what they were doing? I bought one, I have two games (closer to six if you include the F2P titles and PS+ freebies), spent about 60 hours playing them over the past ten days and I'm glad I got the main purchase out of the way so that I can start to build my library next year. I give it less than 365 days before I have more games on PS4 than are worth buying on Wii U.
Are demos limited time still, or do they now keep them around? I would like to try the demo of Wonderful 101 before buying it. I mean once the boys open up their Wii U (and I get some time with it!) after Xmas.
In the US, Redbox (a self-serve kiosk you can rent movies and games at) is going to start carrying Wii U games finally. They are scheduled to have Super Mario 3D World on the 17th. I'm glad to see them finally on board. If you have their app you can go to the Coming Soon tab and it lists it for the 17th.
