well, you can either wait for feb 14th (if all goes well) for the challenge (and the controls) to get easier. Or find the highest cloud (or one of the highest), latch to it so that the rope has about its maximum length and then swing and let go at highest point of the arc. Then boost and at some point it should work
When you say the highest point I take it you mean at the most vertical movement, for example at 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock so therefore going straight upwards... And boost at some point (I'm trying early & later boosts). I'n guessing if you mean at the top of the arc, I'll fly off horizontally. Russ.
the tilt controls works now much better in my opinion a lot more responsive overall The new touch controls i still can't get the hang of it, since you grab the cloud the same way like in tilt but you also have to drag in a circular way i think still dont know well Also in the settings there is a new power guide any have a idea what is that for? the the "guide" is the tutorial i dont see anything different with that on and off
Is there a way to play through the tutorial again? I got a call right when i started, and then had to look up some phone numbers... Anyway, when i came back to the game, it just started up after hitting play instead of going to the tutorial again (maybe theres a way you could make it so that it only does this if you complete the tutorial?)
in the main menu go the the settings and activate the "guide" option again it should give you the tutorial again
The "collect 50 stars under 2 minutes without touching down" challenge for Callisto doesn't seem to be tracking my star count properly. Can anybody confirm?
mmh, the challenge should probably say in the first 2 min. It doesn't work after that, but otherwise the count is correct. I'll reword it for the next update
Also there is icloud support now, how come a indie dev adds icloud but most of the "big" games dont have it makes me sad
Agreed - last night while playing Sonic Dash, I couldn't help but wonder why games from EA and SEGA don't have iCloud support, yet all these indie studios seem to... =o/ Anyway - thank you for the update! I can't wait to play this on my iPad. =oD
Picked this up for free. I passed on it before due to apparent control issues...wish I hadn't. However I really like the touch controls, enough that I haven't even used the tilt yet. The game, obviously, is GORGEOUS. It also runs flawlessly on my poor iPod touch 4! Everything about this game has polish pouring out of every orifice. Do yourself (and Marcus) a favor and wait til the sale is over, then buy this game.
