Have you even played the Katamari series? Cartoon graphics don't automatically equal a game for kids, and Katamari leans more towards the artsy side of game development, while still being accessible to a younger crowd. Yes, the Wii has games for everyone, but we're talking about the majority, and the majority of it's games are aimed at the younger generation. That's exactly why most people who are into hardcore games own a Wii AND either a 360 or PS3. It's the setup most people agree on in order to get the most from modern day gaming, owning a Wii alone means you're gonna miss out on a ton of amazing games. ...and immature teenagers? I'm not a teenager, but what you're saying is just pure ignorance. You might as well go ahead and pretend everyone who owns a knife stabs people. Do you really own a 360/PS3? It sounds like you bought a Wii and now you're desperately trying to justify your purchase by making it out to be better than it really is in regards to hardcore gaming and FPS games. Metroid Prime Trilogy is a decent enough FPS, but the list practically stops there. Seriously, if all you own is a Wii, shut up and let people with all three consoles make the comparisons. No one said their opinion is fact, but there is such a thing as majority opinion, and it's always been the same in regards to which platforms are better for which types of games. I'm not buying the 23 years old thing either, I'd guess about 14. It sounds suspiciously like you're too young to even buy most of the games we're discussing.
The Wii sucks. None of it's games are hardcore. It's aimed at younger kids. Adults play on big-boy consoles like the 360 and PS3. MW2, GoW2, and Bioshock are hardcore because of their excessive violence. Mario is too cute to be hardcore. FPS's are horrible on the Wii and N64. The N64 was made for little kids. Nintendo isn't cool. I'm 11 and I love pwning those faggotnoobs on the Box while spending my nights with their moms, yo!

! In all honesty, I think making GoldenEye a Wii exclusive is probably the best thing Activision could have done. I'm sure there are PS3 and Xbox360's owners who would have liked a Hi Def version no doubt, but Activision is striving to keep it as close to the original as possible (whilst adding a few additions to freshen it up a bit). By keeping it fairly close to the original, they are leaving out many of todays 'standard' features for FPS'... most notably, a big online multiplayer system. The game is infamous for its four player, split screen multiplayer mode and Activision have decided to preserve that feature the encourage what the Wii stands for... getting people to enjoy the games together in the same room (thats what made the original great). Sure, they could've also included a bigger miultiplayer too, but then who would bother with four way, split screen if they had? The truth is, both the PS3 and Xbox360 have far more refined, advanced and 'modern' games in the genre and as a result, the Master Cheif fans (for example) would no doubt bash the game in camparison to their beloved Halo franchise, "This game sucks... only four player multiplayer, and it's SPLIT SCREEN?! F**k that, I want to pwn some noobz with 50 of my interntz friendz" I did, up until recently, have all three systems (after my third 360 snuffed it, R.I.P, I gave up... may gave the Slim a shot if the failure rate is drastically reduced) and I love all the systems for what they bring to the market. They all have great games that are exclusive to them (admittedly, some more than others), but who cares. If I see a game I like the look of, I'll buy it, regardless of the system its on.
Rating denotes inappropriate content, not challenge. Besides hardcore does mean violent, but that doesn't mean serious, as with an extreme challenge.

It's not a proper remake, it's more of a reimagining. Which, if you're going to dredge up a classic like Goldeneye, is a bad idea.
