Are you serious? I don't hate the Wii, just 99% of the games on it. I own one myself, played some SMG2 today in fact, but if you think it's not absolutely flooded with gimmicky cash-ins then son, you have bad taste in games. No offense, but the way you type makes you sound very young indeed, so calling other people out on it probably isn't the best idea. How do you suppose I have no clue about games? I've owned near enough every home console released at some point or another and I'm sitting here right now with over 100 current gen games on the shelf next to me and around 200 games from the last gen packed in boxes under my bed. I'm also pretty well versed in 8-bit and 16-bit retro gaming but alas I don't have a collection other than uh, "digital" copies. I understand that games mean different things to different people and my opinion isn't gospel, but to say I have "no fing clue" is far from the truth. I've been into gaming for over two decades now. Plus, I haven't mentioned GTA either, I don't know why you keep bringing it up, and yes, age has a lot to do with game preference. Like it or not, the Wii is aimed at a younger audience than the 360/PS3 are.
See the look of awe and wonder in the girl's face as she sneaks in to see the boys partying in their underwear. I'm telling you, this is the decay of Western society.
And cutting people in half with chainsaws is much better. But, y'know, God forbid that we see babies in diapers... oh noes...
The n64 was a cartridge based system which was aimed at a very young target market, like the wii(apart from the cartridge). Both systems were the crappier or childish systems which were far less advanced than the competitors(ps1 and xbox360+ps3 respectively) Nonetheless the original proved that the game could be good even if the system was shitty so I guess the new one's gonna be good
Personally I like Nintendo. Without Nintendo, there would be no Mario, and when I think of a console that is one of the first things I think of. Sure there games are targeted at families, but that doesn't make them crap. As far as Goldeneye, again I can't think of GoldenEye not being on Nintendo since that's where it all started. IMHO I think Goldeneye has set the path for games like CoD, and Halo. Sure at the time you couldn't play online, but that was when you did it the old fashioned way, face to face! LOL BTW. I also heard that a new Twisted Metal will be coming out.
Yeah it was pretty tough. Fighter's Destiny was awesome too, I remember playing for hours trying to unlock the secret characters, slowly going out of my mind with frustration. ...and obviously Smash Bros. Awesomeness incarnate.
Ah, fond memories of my 9 year-old self playing games at the rate of $9/hr at a cheap hotel that couldn't afford to upgrade to the GameCube... good times.
