The version 1.3 is good enough and powerful, but it sales only 1~4 per day??? Why? This tool is a most powerful expense log tool! One of the reviews:
I think most people buy games and fart apps. Maybe if you made a farting financial program it would sell better? Also, it seems that Zombies, Pirates and Ninjas are very popular on the App Store.
Finance category is a tricky one. A good idea can be to look at the top 10 finance apps, both free and paid and make a list with what is good about them. You will notice that in the App Store, top apps are polished and have been designed by a top UI designer with original icon and so on.
I assume because of wrong marketing. Simply developing an arbitrary game for the appstore without marketing and earning hundreds of thousands of dollars is no more. 1: The name. It's the worst you could've chosen. Such a long name reads bad and doesn't sound professional. 2: The icon isn't that good, too - but it's OK. However, the name and the icon are the two things which cause the user to click or not to click on an app in the appstore for a detailed view. I wouldn't click your app. 3: No marketing, no innovations. You could bring the best app ever in the appstore but without doing any marketing it'll fail considering the hundreds of apps released EVERY DAY 4: There are very few people who use an app like the one you did. If you want an app that has lots of sales, you should develop an app that interests lots of people. Look at your friends: who does this kind of credit card tracking you offer? 5: ABSOLUTELY WRONG PRICE POLICY. You think the low price would guarantee sales. But a low price doesn't mean more sales. Look at Starbucks, they make their coffee extra expensive to arouse the impression of something really special (which absolutely works). People who do financial tracking mostly have lots of money (to track). These people with lots of money will prefer the 10$ money tracking app to your 99cent app, simply because they think "The first one is more expensive, hence it's better and 10$ less on my 10mio credit card aren't worth mentioning". I didn't use your app and I believe you it's a good app. I just want to make clear that just developing a good app and releasing it doesn't mean success. There are lots of things you have to think of for developing a real succesfull app and you failed in all of them. I hope I could help you with my opinion towards your marketing, so your next app will hit the right price spot, will have a perfect name and icon and will attract the interest of lots of people! greetz breeze
i just think it's because the target market you're aiming for i just a much smaller target market than that of the gaming industry for example
My thoughts I agree. However, you need to try some alternative marketing to show how "Powerful" it really is, it can help boost sales if put out there towards that "Target customer" You should post some youtube/ other how to videos that show its usefulness. I was confused at where to start with the app once I received it. I still haven't figured it all out yet as I am currently putting together a review on it. The idea of the app definitely is beneficial to me however I need to understand it better to make it have the air of "ease of use". Which is what I desire in an app such as this.
Honestly just make it bright, simple, with a short name. I dont know why but people buy apps on just how the icon looks. I admit if an icon is good, there is a huge chance the app is polished and clean.
I know nothing of this app so I decided to look with a fresh and empty mind. I first see a name that is WAY!!! to long and not very good. The icon is boring and cheap looking and some of the screen shots on iTunes also look cheap. When people's finances are involved people need to see a polished app to build their trust. If I was to get a financial app I wouldn't even read the description due to the items listed above and I would look for a more expensive and better version. I am sorry for being harsh but I think the truth is what you need right now. All the best.
