I guess I'm confused how it is that you bought an iPad in the first place since your entire list of things you don't like about it were incredibly apparent even on launch day.
yeah man my 2g ipod works fine.. i will upgrade to 4 if it has a camera. iv yet to run any software the gen2 ipod can not run so far. maybe now iphone 4 is here things will change.. which is fine.. technology has to keep on moving forward.. bigger and better, wait, i mean smaller. laughs. chris.
Hi, Three million sold, one returned, I do think Apple will survive. I know there are others who returned their Ipad but I would think it is a small number. As for the reasons you are returning your Ipad, did you research or impulse buy? If you had researched the Ipad, you would have known it was not right for you. Impulse but, must be nice to have the disctretionary money to do so, and no sympathies from me for being disappointed. David
Are all the complaints about Safari accurate? We're trying to order an iPad for the sole purpose of reading and surfing the web, and the occasional in-car gaming on trips. Is that even worth it, or better to get a netbook/laptop?
wow seriously? what, were you expecting us all to sympathize with you or something when you made the thread? as someone said before all the things you listed were known well before the launch date; you should have known what you were buying before getting it. and calling people trolls and 12-yr-olds for disagreeing with you..you can leave, no one will care if you do
Well surfing the web will be for laptops definitely. Reading is probably best on ipad. And in-car gaming woo 3DS
I don't know about that Kamazar - a few weeks ago I was at a convention, and spending time in the lobby of the hotel, I was getting quite a lot of women that were asking to sit down, and talk about / try it out... Now again, I am in the older crowd, so these people were in the 20's - 40's so they go "rowr" in more sophisticated ways...
Totally serious. You are clearly biased because you already dropped the cash for the iPad-you don't want to admit it's a waste. Putting down 500 dollars for the"best web surfing tool around"--what?? It doesn't even have flash! That claim can absolutely not be made. In terms of gaming, it is certainly better than the iPod Touch, but the question is whether it is $300 better. Add to that the fact that you can't play it on the bus going to work (or the train, or whatever) and there is very little portability, and the iPod Touch definitely seems the better value for money. I'm not saying the iPad is a bad device. Hell, it's great. But it is NOT revolutionary (which is the most cliched word ever), and it is NOT worth the asking price
Here are the complaints - Safari ** - pages reload too often ** - tab button in a bad spot ** - bookmarks bar too thin ** - no flash ** - can't upload pics ** - scrolling pages too fast (not all) Now, to be honest, I use iCab a lot, but do use Safari about 1/3 of the time - Safari interfaces with the App Store better, and does not get stuck in scripts - iCab will do that sometimes. But, I only have pages reload when you go to page - the same way that any windows browser I have ever had. If you have Wireless N - pages load for me about as fast as my PC. I disagree about the tab button, I have no problems with the bookmarks bar. Flash - talk to Steve.... I don't know about uploading pictures - I am assuming to another site? I don't know - I don't do that. Scrolling not a problem. I use my iPad over my PC most of the time just because I can be in a comfy chair, or walking around, or wherever and it gives me a nice web page view. I do however not like the wireless reception of the iPad - it seems to be finnicky - sometimes in the exact same spot I will get 3 bars, and other times will get 1 bar, and sometimes will lose reception in areas of the house that my iPhone works just fine in (in wireless mode)... But not a big enough issue to return it.
Personally think that despite being just a larger iPod, it definitely changes the experience of using such device or to experience content. I can find myself spending more hours on contents and even gameplay is excellent. It's a shocker when you look at the iPhone/iPod Touch right after an iPad. A friend of mine was saying the same thing about the Memory, they got to fix this because it's not really as smooth as it could be. App Store - They didn't really do a good job on the layouts and browsing experience. Pricing - thats what a tech reviewer said, it's only amazing when it's two years down the road when this is probably $100-200 cheaper
Dude, why the F would I waste money on an iPad when i'm gonna buy an iPhone 4. And how am I being a troll? You felt the need to post some useless crap about why you didn't like your iPad and I agreed that I didn't feel the need to get an iPad aswell. Learn to read.
I love it for car rides mostly, but my family utilizes it as an actual laptop, and they love it. What more do they need? Oh no, no flash! Uh oh! We don't care. And Safari on the iPad is the easiest browser I've ever used, or touched. If you think it's an over priced iPod touch, then your using it the wrong way. No camera? Get a cell phone. AT&T for 3G and don't like it? Buy a pocket wifi thingy. No iOS 4? Wait/Jailbreak. But if you do want a small little net book, then buy one. But an iPad is worth it. I've never seen my mom touch a piece of technology for so long, and she's the one who actually gets sick going into best buy. And I typed that all on my iPad. Snitches
