-> Updated some stuff. Marked with an * Pros: - It's a big iPod touch with a built in mic and compass. - Great battery life* - Speaker better than some laptops* Cons: Safari - pages reload too often - tab button in a bad spot - tab view is ugly* - bookmarks bar too thin - no flash - a blue lego icon instead of content (mostly videos)* - can't upload pics - pages scroll too fast (not all) RAM - only 256MB Apps - almost everything's way overpriced (devs charging double or more for the same app with a different interface*) AppStore - too much reloading - iPhone games come up under iPad only when you search for iPad only apps (they're not universal either) Firmware - stuck with 3.2 Charging - Can not charge iPad using a USB port on my desktop computer 3G Data - AT&T (enough said) Guess I'm waiting for iPad 2. -> To all those I offended by posting this publicly. I sincerely apologize. Please forgive me for being such an idiot, moron, etc...
Well considering he should have known about all this before buying it, this is a ridiculous argument. But he has a legitimate complaint: the iPad sucks, and is overpriced
What is overpriced about it? I'm not sure if you remember but when it was first released it pretty much decimated pricing of similar tablet devices and sold for barely more than a Kindle DX. Since then everyone else has had to drop their pricing to stay competitive. If you're whining about the price of HD apps, well, don't worry... I'm sure the iPad App Store will be ruined by 99¢ pricing as soon as demand picks up when more units are sold.
Overpriced as in it is a big iPod Touch. You are paying twice the price for a couple more inches of screen space
It's definitely not overpriced, and it's sold extremely well. I read on Pocket Gamer that they sell on average 37,500 iPads every day and they have sold 3 million since it was launched. The reasons you listed kind of make it your own fault for buying it in the first place. Make sure you do plenty of research before buying any device. Personally, I dislike the iPad and I haven't bought one. I'm glad I saved my money for the iPhone 4.
I'd like to add that the price of the iPad at the $499/$629 price is good. The others are overpriced (32&64GB).
Why do we care? I'd like to add that I think the iPad is priced great, about half what it was originally thought to be. That being said, I would never buy one since I think it would be useless for me, and I wouldn't use it.
Well, the iPad is an extremely cool gadget, the epitome of style, however when I was playing with one in the Apple store all I could think is "This is a giant iPod Touch" It's no replacement for a laptop or netbook and I don't know why anyone would think it is, but if I had the money I would buy one.
so go on ebay spend 100.00 and buy a aped.. it runs android.. has a usb port, takes a memory card etc etc.. lol i have a use for a ipad. i want it for music. and im not sure what you mean by: "Phone games come up under iPad only (they're not universal either)" i thought you could run iphone apps on the ipad.. shrugs.. in the end.. really no reason to complain.. sell your item and move on ill give you a 100.00 for it lol chris.
Obviously you can't afford it. You're still on 2nd gen iPod touch. Don't speak for everyone, troll. Learn to read. The device is just not for me. Your reply is very childish and I hope I get banned soon. Tired of coming here and hearing all this bullshit from fat 12 year olds.
Woah woah woah. Returning your iPad? Sorry buddy. Apple only allows returns for faulty products. Not good products for technologically blind, PC loving people. I love my iPad, and i'm pretty bloody happy. EDIT: Also, I am a student, and I could afford a 32gb wifi with a case.
Woah... You edited this RIGHT as I clicked "quote" so it came up different in my "Reply to Thread" page... that's kinda awesome! Anyways, what I wanted to say is: Just 'cause he didn't feel the need to upgrade to a 3G doesn't mean he doesn't have the money. For instance, I have the money to buy both an iPad and an iPod Touch 3G, but I choose not to because I'm fine with mah 2G.
Well, I wouldn't say it's the epitome of style. Chicks don't don't exactly go "rowr" in the same way as the iPhone, but it is a really cool, well, toy's the best way to put it. You have a wider range of functionality even with a $300 netbook, but I would love to surf the web on the tablet, but there's better stuff to put those $600 towards. Kinda funny how it's hardware capabilities are the same as the iPhone 4, though
wow, calling me 12. laughs.. i wish man.. im over the hill to most 12 year olds.. my comment was hardly childish.. you saying you hope to get ban... on the other hand is. but whatever, peace. chris.
