Ngmoco really just makes glorified versions of those text based MMO's. While fun, anyone who has played a text based MMO can easily spot the similarities
no your rubbish!! haha sorry but someone had to say it.... but seriously what are we talking about? your complaining about an awesome FREE game you have... makes sense to me? You have all the right to play this awesome FREE game as much as you want!! I would sue them!!!
apparently they think that just because they made a game that they can do whatever they want with it!?!?!?!? people like this make me so mad.
I mean if I made a game. It'll be with virtual stick controls, have amazing graphics and I'll charge 10 dollars for each game. I'll never run out of ideas because I'll just rip them from other games and I'll never have to worry about updating them because I wouldn't care.
I don't like their games. I find its too much of an investment. Want to compete? Go forge a friends list on the forums. Sit their adding people or having them add you. Then, when people start getting ahead, lets fork over some cash. Just a couple bucks this week... that'll last me till next week when I need another boost... then another. It's just not *my* thing. But there is obviously a market for this kinda stuff if they are able to make the games and turn a profit!
Social games are the future. We've come a long way from just single player, not even with local multiplayer, games. I mean take a game console...they all have online nowadays. Why? It encourages replayability which = good for everyone involved. Also encourages socialability, you can just be on xbox, someone signs into msn and it pops up on your screen when they say hi. You then end up having a conversation with them or chat...or end up playing against them Playing games more online and with friends...also means you're more like to buy added downloadable content such as new levels....both increasing the length/overall value/fun you get our of the game...and making the developer happy as well Lastly acheivements complete this circle for games which include them. Sorry bit of a mini-rant but you get my point. You don't have to have friends....its just games are much funner with them (and if you don't have any real life ones...thats what theres add me threads )
yeah, doing this is good for ngmoco to learn about there business. They should listen to you guys then.
