I read a minimum of a book a week, usually though I get through two a week. On top of full time job and other normal adult duties lol. I think I read more than I play games actually. Marvin is a great reader app that I only just recently found. Love it, though here lately I've been reading more on android as my tablet has a much better screen, and there I use aldiko. Marvin is better, but the screen on my android tablet is worlds better than my iPad.
My 9 yr daughter absolutey loves Michael Morpurgo, they read a lot of his as school text so I thinks that why she developed a taste for him, she's a big reader and has over 200 books, once she finds an author she likes she likes to collect all their titles, looking at her shelves she has very varied tastes, from wimpy kid to Harry potter, she will take weeks to read one though, she said that she likes to make them last longer so she enjoys them longer and she has rule of not starting another for. At least a day after finishing one so she can let it sink in and clear her mind for the next one. We were at a Xmas party and she was sat in a corner with a book, so many people commented on how nice it is to see a child with a book instead of glued to a screen playing games, I just smiled nicely but they'd think I was the worse mum in the world if they knew her gaming time easily trebles the amount she spends reading....
I still read, but not many story/fictional books. I prefer to read entrepreneurial/psychology/spirituality/self development books and I have to say a lot of the content has helped me become more productive and more important than many things i've learned in school. Part of the reason why I got the iPhone 6 plus and sold my 6 is because I wanted to have text size similar to my kindle ereader in case I wanted to read while waiting in lines or something when i'm out.
