Well after checking out the new devices I have to say my interest in the iTouch has faded a great deal. I was initially planning to get the next gen iTouch and possibly free myself of the iPhone and AT&T once and for all. As things stand now you still can do much more with an iPhone than you can with an iTouch. Also the price tag for the 32/64 GB is more than I am willing to pay.

I will now wait to see if Apple can make the next gen iPhone more than just a 64GB version of this years 3Gs (hopefully AT&T won't be the only carrier option in the US too). If not I will have to make a pretty big decision where I plan to spend my cell phone money next.

However with the small price tag and added features I might just fork over the money for a 5th gen Nano that I would be able to use during my gym time. Oh and 16 GB all the way...

Anyone else considering upgrading to a Nano, now?

The FM tuner is a pleasant surprise IMO.

That's exactly the reason they didn't add a camera to the iPod Touch.

According to this post this is why the iPod Touch didn't have a camera:

The above article seems more reasonable imo.

Yes. I'm considering buying a Nano because after I get my PSPgo, my iPod Touch will get barely any play time. But I'm still considering buying a iPod Touch. I wish they would've put FM Radio on there just like on the Nano. :( I would buy a Nano if they would bring more games to the Nano. Consider it on my "Should I buy it list"

I must say after the disappointing announcement of the new iPod, I'm probably going to get a PSP Go. I miss buttons :(

I still have the previous generation nano. Works great, not sure if I wanna get the new touch. The only real reason would be to test out my game (when it's finished). Eh, I'm just not feeling it. I'm actually starting to warm-up to the PSPGo... well, not so much the device itself, but the game library *shrugs*

I was at school during the event, and I had a short chance to check store.CRAPple.com only to see that the nano couldnt take still pictures. Why the hell would I only want a video camera? If im taking VIDEOS, i want goooood quality. pictures, quality isnt as much of a factor. major apple fail IMHO

The new Nano with video is quite attractive to me. I've toyed with the idea of having a video recorder in my pocket for odd ocassions, and recently warmed to the Flip. But as that keynote showed, its really thick compared to the Nano. You could have it permanently kept in your jacket, jeans or backpack and you wouldn't notice the weight or bulk. As the Flip has proved with its popularity, its not necessarily the HD quality or 12x optical zoom lens that make a decent and funny video clip - its the ability to shoot it whenever wherever.

The video filters are also great too! I love the classic film reel filter like watching Charlie Chaplin silent movies; the Terminator-style view, and the swirl - seeing the cyclist go through that is priceless! Have a look at Engadget's test recording:

    http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/10/ipod-nano-unboxed-camera-gets-tested-against-the-mean-streets-o/#continued

The only thing I'm concerned about is the excessive ambient noise picked up on Engadget's testing.
