...Garnett? Rondo was pretty much the one-man wrecking crew for the Celtics, with Ray Allen and Bass contributing quite a bit, too. Bass was quite impressive in my opinion. KG, on the other hand, came through on a couple shots in the 4th but he wasn't his usual self. He missed shots he should've made, and his defense was lackadaisical compared to what he normally does. But back to Bass, Celtics are so lucky they traded for him as he'll be such a nice player to back up KG who needs a lot of rest this year. Anyway, I don't like the Heat, and I'm not sure many others do, but I think it's pretty clear they're going to win this year. They went through the lockout and came into this season without missing a beat, and they actually managed to improve their team quite a bit this offseason despite having the Big 3 taking up most of their payroll. Battier was a great sign, Cole was a great pick, and let's not forget Haslem and Miller who should be fully healthy this season.
Haha, I was talking about the shit Garnett got into during his first game, not his performance xP. Getting his temper going during game one, lol. The Heat dominated yesterday's game so hard it wasn't even funny. Did you see that Chalmers-LBJ-Wade play? Holy f**king shit. Their team is as good as it's going to get in terms of players. Should be an interesting season either way.
WTF Lakers!? A vetoed trade, trading Odom, and Clippers the new best team (?) kind of sucks for you guys but playing horribly is no excuse. I guess OKC is going to win it all this year...
I'm going with Thunder/Heat for the finals. I really don't know who's gonna come out on top though. But while we're talking about the West, I think we're going to have a pretty spectacular year this year. In past years, the Kings, Warriors, and T'Wolves have been dead last, but they've looked really good so far. I actually think the Suns will be finishing last this year.
I remember seeing that on tv. McGrady was a beast but what the heck happened to him now, 32 and knee problems :/
Just think what T-Mac could've been if he hadn't been plagued by injuries. People scoff whenever I say this, but T-Mac was far better than Kobe when they were entering their primes, and there's no reason to think T-Mac couldn't have elevated himself to the status Kobe has today.
