Hey i am looking to get a radio app, and i have narrowed it down to wunderradio and tunein radio. They both seem the same but price-wise they are a big difference. Does anyone have either of these apps and can give a quick review or opinion??

    Thanks for the help!!

I have neither but can I add a suggestion? Its called ooTunes and it has stations from all over the nation, international, plus just random music stations. It shows the artist and album for songs. Its really, really good but a tad pricey (4.99 I think). Just a suggestion! Its also one of the higher selling radio apps too which tells you people like it.

i also picked up ooTunes in the end, unless you want something specific i'd read a review or 2 and go with what you want.
ie i suspect they are all pretty good

You mean there's another radio app besides Pandora? *gasp*
Seriously, Pandora and Concert Vault are my two I carry but I'll check out yours! Thanks for the tip.

Pandora isnt a radio app per say. Its internet radio that has playlists basically. ooTunes plays actual radio stations you would hear if you were driving through the city, as well as internet ones.

WUNDER RADIO is the best. I have 3 "regular radio station" apps and use that one the most. Wunder is the most expensive but gives you about 50,000+ choices including location services for local stations in your area. It even has "Coast to Coast AM" at 10:00pm to 4:00am on KSFO. There is a Coast to Coast AM app that requires a monthly subscription, but wunder has it for free. They also have Infowars Radio, so you can keep up with the present, political tyranny. There is an option to save favorite stations as well as network requirements for streaming a particular station, ex: Edge, 3G, WIFI. It was also the first app to include web browsing while listening to radio, but iOS4 has now made that feature obsolete.

If you are looking for a cost effective "live radio station" app, HEART RADIO is another good one that is available for free.

BTW, PANDORA is not a Radio App. It is a music streaming app, and definitely not the best one either. SLACKER RADIO kills Pandora in almost every feature including user interface and customization.

I use TuneIn Radio probably more than any other app on my iPhone. At first I got it for the local stations (I'm in a city where I expected to have a hard time finding local stations on an app like this... it had all of them), but since I've found it good for pretty much any occasion. I can always find something good in whatever genre I have in mind, and I have a few really good ones bookmarked.

I've been going around telling people that TuneIn Radio is the best $2 (or was it $3?) that I've spent since getting my iPhone.

Do you need wi-fi to use the radio apps with an iPod Touch?
