A few Pangea Games have gone on sale for a limited time only that I've been debating on for awhile. If they are worthy of being purchased, now would be the best time to get them, so what are your personal thoughts on these games: 1. Cro-Mag Rally 2. Bugdom 2 3. Nanosaur 2 -Thanks for the Help!
I would say Nanosaur 2. Pretty awesome game, back in the early days of the app store at least. But since then, there have been much, much, much better games IMO,
Of that list, Nanosaur 2. Bugdom is a good second choice, and Cro-Mag is a little over-rated. Nanosaur has perfect accelerometer controls, beautiful graphics, fun adventure-like gameplay, and probably a good 3-4 hours of gameplay (3 levels, each with increasing numbers of eggs to find. The last level has like 20).
Also, this is not necessarily a situation where I will only buy one. I will buy as many of the 3 as are strongly recommended. I just wanted to know if any of these games you extremely prefer or want to discourage me from buying for certain various reasons.
I have bought every Pangea game at $0.99 at one point in time and hated all of them. If you really want to test the waters, you can't go wrong with Nanosaur or Ottomatic (or Bugdom is the same thing). I think that they might be worth a dollar if that tells you anything about the quality. The actual games for Mac are decent, but the iPhone ports make me sick (literally sick; the framerates are dizzying).
I have all three (early app store days) and I rarely play them now that so many more entertaining games have come out. If you want one though, go for nanosaur, it's the best of the three in my opinion.
I liked Bugdom but a lot of people didn't. It has beautiful graphics and is just very nice quality. Cro-Mag Rally is fun but don't expect too much, there are no real modes, just levels you can tap to play. No unlockables, but again, beautiful graphics and fun and worth the price. Nanosaur 2 is probably the second best out of those, after Cro-Mag. It has great controls, great graphics. You are a dinosaur trying to find eggs and when you find them you bring them back to the wind. There are three levels with each level containing ten, maybe twenty eggs to find.
Wel Cro-mag Rally is the best from that list but dont bother with it if you already have Shrek karting that one is far better
Don't get any of them... Go buy Terminator or Brothers in Arms for the same price. Or Beneath a Steel Sky. I've played Bugdom on the PC and it was terrible, Cro-Mag was only good at its time, but now with more kart racers like Shrek Kart (which can also be bought at .99 currently), this game is just not worth it. I had it on an old Mac I had, and I never played it. Nanosaur was also on my old Mac and was a game you could get from installer on the 1.X firmware, and it just wasn't fun. From the looks of things, the sequel isnt much better. As far as I can tell, the only Pangea games that look good are Billy Frontier (which is a tap to shoot like Time Crisis a bit) and the Enigmo games.
Surprised but ok I'll probably drop them all. I have Shrek Kart (got it 2 days ago) and I love it! And been considering Brothers In Arms...is it good?
