this will be my first ipod. I am interesed in wifi, gaming, not alot of music. my question is between the 8gb or 32. am I as a novice gamer going to notice a big difference between the quality of gaming experience between the 8 and 32. is it worth the extra 75-100 for it. thanks

Go for the 32, it's got a better processor and 8 GB just ain't enough.

The 8 gb version is the 2nd gen model. You should be fine from any point of view with 32 gb. I used up 8 gb pretty fast, and you'll want some music and videos along with your games. Maybe not now, but probably later.

all ipod touch models have wifi. If you won't have a lot of music I think 8gb is fine, I've been playing ipod games for a year and have 2.5 gb of apps installed.

Technically, there is, but the hardware isn't improved. They're just basically replacing "2nd Gen" with "3rd Gen" in the title.

I'd go with 16GB. There's no way you're gonna fill 32GB with apps alone (providing you don't jailbreak), you'll run out of pages before you run out of memory... and the chances you'd actually play all of those game regularly enough to really need them on the device is pretty slim indeed.

Well I have the 2nd gen 8g Touch. I didn't know that the third gen came in a 16g model?? I thought it was 8g, 32g and 64g? In which case I'll get the 32g because I want a faster processor

You can still get 'em here... I guess it's just until stocks run out then.

    McDonalds! French Fries anyone?
At that place... with those... people...
Stick with 8 Gigs. I have 400 songs and 8 pages of games and I still have a good 1-2 gigs left.

In that case, the 3G 8GB will be no different than your existing one. Go ahead and get the 32GB model in order to give yourself options and actually buy a better ipod.

on second thought I'd go with 32 gb also. extra space doesn't hurt, it'll have much faster performance and you get the headphones with the microphone effectively for free with it
