I bought Tile to Live because of the repeat mentions of it here in this thread. You're right. It IS an awesome game. It reminds me of a Japanese bullethell game in parts. Good times.
well pocket god was original but then pocket devil and godfinger came along doodle jump was the original jump game (or was it papi jump anyone know) pretty sure that the raging dead was original
Papijump was the ORIGINAL jump game. I got Papi, and then when DoodleJump came out I was like "what is this ripoff?!" Raging Dead is NOT the original. It is ripped off from the zombie-dot simulators you can play on the Internet.
Chromixa gets my vote. Tilt to Live and Eliss as well. Zen bound was clever but didn't get me hooked.
A few I haven't seen mentioned yet Alone (at least for this platform) Catan (The boardgame that started the German gaming boom!) Chop Chop Ninja (deserves a mention for the control scheme) Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain (quite original when the book first came out) Hive (the boradgame) iBlast Moki Invisible Links Jet Car Stunts (Sure, there's Drive Racin' from a loooong time ago, but I can't think of another racing/platform game) Quozle Quest (way way out there artsy onion of a game) Rush Hour (the original puzzle) Stitch 'em Words Ynth +1 to: Eliss Thumpies
Zen Bound, Spider, and iBlast Moki. Too bad the appstore lacks creative and original titles. 99.9999% of the stuff are clones of each other, some of them blatantly copying everything they can.
I fail to see how Tilt To Live is so orginal, great game mind you, but the gameplay is just avoidance with weapons. There are no characters, only dots. The loading screens, controls, and weapon unlock system are original but the gameplay doesn't feel to different. I love the game, so don't think I'm hating on it.
