Defender Chronicles - I hated the icon so much I ended up deleting the game from my iPhone, I wish they would just go back to the original one I also agree with the OP in that I dont like icons that blend in with the black background and don't keep the original icon shape (Star Hogs, Lux DLX, iDigIt, BumperStars, Kil.a.ton, Peggle, etc) - it just looks off
Hehe my iTouch 2nd Gen 32 Gig has a problem where it sometimes mixes up icons... It sucks, cause of games like MC: Sandstorm coming up with the World of Tunes Icon, but at least I haven't had to see Gang$tars icon. Anyone know how to fix the problem though? I've deleted and reinstalled, and restored, but it didn't help...
+ 1, Have asked them on facebook too, unable to track tht now :| Tht has been addressed with the latest update
Tweetdeck! I can't stand that ugly yellow icon!!! Just make it a Twitter blue logo or something. It puts me off from using the app sometimes. I also avoid keeping it on my home page because of it's uglyness. lol
Zombieville Fieldrunners Sudoku (EA Games) Zenonia (but doubt it's gonna get changed, it had icon complaints since the day it came out) iDracula Blades of Fury (took me a while to realize the icon is the mask of that guy in the intro movie otherwise it's hardly recognizable as anything) Animal Kingdom Sentinel 2 Heavy Mach. Samurai Way of Warrior
Don't know if I already posted, but, whatever...anyway: Any app that has that stupid friggin' Apple "swoosh" discoloration on the top half of the icon. I friggin' hate that stupid thing. The best app icons, IMHO, have a "frame" for the icon artwork. Examples include Pangea's apps (Enigmo, Nanosaur), and stuff like Wolfenstein RPG and Eliss. Oh, and apps that have an appropriate usage of darkness/blackness. Zenonia comes to mind. Mighty impressive icon, and no need for a border around the app. Hydrotilt used to have an impressive icon using this method (it was the hydro "ball" coming up from a puddle, and enveloped in black space/darkness - very cool looking), but they changed it to a friggin' regular boring icon that just says "XL" with some water spray on it. Great.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Madden 10 and Need for Speed Undercover. Why does EA insist on putting writing in the icons? It looks terrible.
