Alright guys, I need one more essential "utility" type app.

As you can see, I've got a space left... so something good needs to go there:

I'm on an iPod so nothing phone-related. Suggestions?

LOL! I'm the same way. :D

I can't stand having an empty space on my front page.

On my front page I have Safari, Mail, Contacts, Calender, Maps, Google Earth, Accuweather, The Weather Channel, Facebook, Twitteriffic, IM+ Lite, AP Mobile, Notes, Calender, Alarm Clock, and Battery Magic.

I could probably tweak this a bit. No point in having 2 maps and 2 weather apps on the front page. But this is what I have for now.

Maybe you could add IM+ or a news app?

    Random apps I find useful:

    To Do's
    My Diary
    WeightMan
    Flipdown

I don't see a VNC, Wake On Lan, Memory Sweep or Network/Data usage app there...

    Stretching things a bit:

    Theme Clock
    4 Tones
    DianHua (Chinese Dictionary)
    iPinyin
    Stanza
    PS Mobile
    Simple Draw

    Hodgepodge?
    The Dicenomicon?

Ok first of all, why do you have poof? SBSettings has poof included and tons of other great features, you don't need an icon for it.

And how often do you really poof apps? If you don't like SBSettings for some reason, at least poof the poof app and if you need it just search for it in the spotlight page.

And then how often do you use stocks, itunes, and the videos apps? I have all those poffed as well, but you may actually use them.

You also should get "AppBackup" from cydia and backup all your game data.

Do you know what DropBox is for computers? Well it has an app. DropBox is one of my favorite computer programs. They are all free.

No facebook or myspace for you?

I use "Flixster" for my movie showtimes and info.

    The photoshop app.

Sportacular for scores on a lot of sports.

I use CNN for my news as well. All these apps are free except CNN.

Wow, surprised to see PS Mobile pop up so much but I guess that is because it is free.

A much better photo editing app is Photogene, lots more features and it pains me to say that. I use PS on my desktop daily...

Since the iPod does not have a camera I guess that isn't the best suggestion. How about Kindle, Instapaper and Pastebot?

Instapaper is ridiculously useful. I use it to save Sparknotes without having to buy the eBook or PDF. Also, pretty lame background you got there. Really, a wall with pretty wallpaper?

For the record, that first screenshot isn't my front page, it's my Utilities folder. Front page screen is below.

It's on the dock bro! I was still re-downloading it when I made this topic.

    I have Poof because:
Not very often, they'll go if I get utility apps to replace them, but until then they can act as placeholders.

    I'll get AppBackup.

    See above.

The idea is that is actually looks like wallpaper. Not some random dark matte monolith like most people tend to have.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll look up all the stuff mentioned... except Booty Clock.

The wallpaper is alright but it looks like the App Store has toilet paper hanging out of it (or, should I say, loo paper?)

SBSettings will put the percentage up by the battery icon like this:

oh, didn't notice before; that Gameboy icon is the bees knees! I will add that to the 'pros' column of my jailbreak consideration list.
