I was a big Nintendo fan in 2002 with their gamecube, for me it was the best and fun console ever and what a great controller, with games like Super Mario Sunshine and Zelda: Windwaker, Metroid Prime and SEGA'S Super Monkey Ball were the best 4 console games for me.

But to be honest IOS blew me away and both the Ipod and even more the Ipad are for me now the best game devices and the games getting better and better, I am not sure Nintendo will fit here anymore, their game structures gotten a bit old sorry Nintendo.

    WOW!

I've found people who dislikes Pokemon as much as me! I thought I was the only person on the planet with this opinion lol.

Whenever a discussion about Nintendo and mobile games pop up, Pokemon always gets mentioned as the holy grail game to port but personally I could care less.

I agree with both your points.

especially about playing old 16-bit ports... Yes, they are classic titles but I'm so over playing them. I want Nintendo to bring new and improved games to my smartphone, games that utilise the power of todays hardware! not ports from 10-20 years ago!

Pokemon can only be classified as a kids game by the art style they use and the easy single player campaign. multiplayer is another thing though, the process of breeding (ev's,natures, etc) competitive pokemon and the strategy to make a team and dont get creamed is something an average kid would probably not handle at the level that some of the adult pros do.

Having said that I dont really play pokemon multiplayer, I find that the sp, while overly easy, is a polished and entertaining jrpg with outstanding production values that ticks my collector obsession just right.

On topic: I agree that seeing premium "Virtual Console" ports is not realistic at this time, maybe if the NX -NC or whatever fails then they'll have much more pressure to change.
