Was just watching a UK film called Hollow and I think it might just be the worst movie I've ever sat through and I had the same thought about a week ago when I watched Indigenous which also made me angry at the way the characters acted.

Hollow was done in the typical blair witch style with the characters all carrying a camera about for absolutely no reason whatsoever and why it's so bad in my opinion is the characters are utter morons.

Film starts with the four characters running down a fox then one of them remarking I remember that spooky tree my mother told me a story about it followed by supposed spooky story of mother being chased across a field once (wooo), followed by them later getting the legend of the very normal looking tree "from a local" someone hung themselves there in medieval times (really).

So of course the bit that annoys me is how they keep going out to this tree for no reason at all every night (yet supposedly they find it so terrifying). Most of the film is these idiots shouting each other names randomly after getting separated due to things like storming off in a tantrum, constantly filming the dark, whimpering/screaming and acting scared because "Spooky Tree" then going back again to do it again the next day.

Up until these two useless horror movies I didn't think movies could really get annoying enough to make me root for them all dying but I'm curious what other movies people hate.

So what is the worst movie you have ever seen?

This might sound cliché, but for me it's probably Transformers 4. It's the only movie out of the recorded 500+ (I'm keeping a list, hah) that I saw, that I simply couldn't get through. Even every bad B movie that I have seen managed to keep me engaged enough to at least watch it from start to end. I know there are worse movies out there than Transformers 4, but I don't intentionally sit down to torture myself (usually), so I try to avoid bad movies.

The most disappointing movie however, was definitely The Last Airbender though. As a fan of the show (ATLA is among my favourite cartoons and series in general, if not the favourite), watching this was like eating an acid cake, iced with crap and sprinkled with asbestos.

What are you talking about, Terance Malik is a genius! Now watch a 30 minute nature montage with characters with good actors that have absolutely no character development!

Battleship was actually pretty entertaining. Now if you wanna talk the worst movie in history, we're talking "the people who were once living but died and became incredibly mixed up zombies" level of bad. Even MST3000 claimed its the worst.

Skyline was the worst I've ever seen. I have never heard so many people groan multiple times during a movie as that one.

Ugh, can't believe how some of those movies mentioned here are considered as worst movies ever seen. o_O You spoiled brats, haha. :p jk
The worst movie I've ever seen was Brain Slasher. Well, kind of, cuz we were four guys and three girls watching the movie and everyone just felt asleep after an hour in. So it's probably even worse than I think cuz I missed half the movie.
