Unsure why you are proud to say that. You know games cost money to make, and developers need to feed their families, as well as make some money in order to keep making games we like. My 2 cents, no harm intended. The most I spent on a on iOS was 19.99 on the Telltale Game of Thrones series, and before that 14.99 on Phoenix Wright, 13.99 on XCOM. I keep track of my iOS spending, and it's totaling 763.09 since November 2010. As for console or PC gaming, I can't remember. I bought quite a few full price games (69.99) back in the day, maybe even the first Guitar Hero on PS2 cost more than that, but I don't remember. PSOne games weren't as expensive as some mentioned here, thankfully Cheers.
You're either a pirate or you have never in your life played a good game. I'm not sure which is worse... probably the latter.
Not neccessarily. The amount of iOS premium games that went free in the last 5-6 years would probably sum up to several thousands (if not tenthousands) of dollars.
There are some F2P games that are pretty good and don't require your wallet to progress like Warframe or Team Fortress 2, so if he only plays F2P games there's still a chance that he has played a good game.
I'm not saying you can't have fun with a free to play game, but the sad thing is that we're not talking exclusively about iOS games in this thread.
WoW since 2008. so $78US x 2 x 7 =$1092 , plus the cost of the expansions. update: I curiously need know more .. So that works out to be $0.43 USD / day in monthly charges. Well worth it IMO for a game with such enormous content and large regular updates. I once bought 2 Atari Lynxes for $400 NZ each and a bunch of games and a link cable, so the set cost me probably $1200NZD. Still got them gathering dust somewhere. For Handheld games. Only about $6 for some iOS board games - which I never play. Commodore 64, I bought The Bards Tale III for $100 (a lot at the time) and sent away for the cheat sheets at probably $50. And my Wico Tracball cost me an exorbitant $80NZD. I bought a SF2 Arcade machine that cost me $900NZ. Ended up sending it to the dump when it stopped working. Other then that, just retail 360 games like COD MW2 and GTA5 for $100NZD each.
