Yeah, that simulation was awesome. I also thought all the Fallout DLC packs had better endings than the main campaign. What annoys me most about those types of games is how the morality system rarely has any kind of middle of the road choice. Fallout 3's ending basically amounted to "save the world" or "destroy the world". It kind of breaks immersion for me as I don't think it's very realistic to have such polar opposite choices in problems in life.
Yeah I get what you mean. You can always be as neutral as possible but inevitably you are going to be forced to make a decision for good or for bad in games like FO. Does kind of rip the immersive experience out.[ Either way it was a great game, just didn't think the ending was all that hot. But the DLC was a little better. I wanna go back and play it all now.
How are those games? I hear 3 was mediocre, but I'm still dying to play it. I think I'll be getting the first one tomorrow when I go to the mall. Also, I want to add the ending to 6 Days a Skeptic... Watching him go from ordinary person to a demon made to serve the forces of evil was pretty creepy. I highly recommend all of those games to anyone remotely interested in adventure or horror games.
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain hands down. It's just so wicked that Kain finally realizes he was unknowingly a pawn for the Necromancer duiring his entire quest for vengeance.
Agreed on Deux Ex. It was the first game I ever played that gave you that kind of a choice on how to end the game. My other favorite ending is the one for Silent Hill 2. Simply devastating.
I hated Halo Reach. Did you play passed the credits? I'm assuming you did. Halo Reach has two ending. I'm sick of bitter sweet endings, which is all you ever seem to get, either with Halo or Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy wouldn't know a "happy" ending if it bite them in the ass. Truth is, I have video game ADD. I owe 60+ 360 games, 40+ PC games, 400+ iOS games, plus I used to have a modded ps2, a modded PSP and a modded NDS. I had access to 100s of games for those systems. Also, ive basically owed every video game system ever made, starting with the Atari 2600. I've dabbled in MAME and in emulators/ROMs. Finishing a game of any kind for me is rare. I like some of the Borderland endings, cause they're light-hearted. Most games are way too heavy/serious and tend to lay their endings on too thick. Crack a smile every once in a while. Have some fun. These are video games. Not life and death. Sheesh.
Well, the thing with Reach was you knew they were going to have to die from what they told you in the preceding games.
Exactly. The end could have been a major bore because you knew what was coming, but somehow they managed to package it in a memorable and interesting way.
Just buy part 3 instead of the first 2, it has an option to replay the most important events of the first 2 games so you wont miss out on the story. And yeah some people don't like the game. But i absolutely love it. It's a typical Japanese game, so lot's of weird stuff is in there, like dating teenage girls, transvestites chasing you, old ladies on mopeds doing frontflips without knowing it. But it's so much fun, think of a beat'em up game like tekken with free roam options and rpg elements. You cant use cars though and enter every sidestreet you see. But the game uses some stores as sponsors wich you can enter and see and buy the original products they sell there. over 100 side missions, great main story and over 15 minigames you can play. I got hooked the instant i've played the game and can't wait for part 4 to arrive in europe next month. 10/10 for me, one of the best and most entertaining games i've played the last few years.
I honestly can't remember the end of God of War 3 and I finished it twice for the platinum. The beginning was amazing though.
In Tiny Wings, the cheer of the bird flying across two lands is the most memorable to me. Sorry for being unable to get to the end of any memorable game.
