Why do these topics always pop up? Listen, Nintendo NEVER develops ANYTHING for non-Nintendo hardware. EVER. Why? Because one buys Nintendo hardware for Nintendo software. If Nintendo were to make software for other platforms what incentive would there be to buy Nintendo hardware? Calling on Nintendo to develop for iPhone/touch would be like asking Apple to bring over OS X and Final Cut to non-Apple computers: not gonna happen. Could Apple get greater amount of OS X users (and therefore increase usage of stuff like Final Cut and Garageband)? Sure. But if they did that it would lead to decreased sales of Apple computers. Moreover, both Apple and Nintendo, by manufacturing their own hardware specs and developing software exclusively for said hardware, have an amount of control that they would not enjoy in developing for other software.
Well said. Really not much more to add to this... i don't think it's going to happen. But take heart! Mario is fully available via jailbreak not the same as playing on NES/SNES obviously... but pretty much just as good as that Sonic port.
nah, nintendo wouldnt want their star character on another platform but if you have an emulator on the iphone, you can play it
