im wanting to get a good router for my ipod touch but i have no idea what to get. im wanting to get a router mainly for web searching and multiplayer games. my max range from the router will be like 50 yards, if that. i have a budget of around $50, so cheaper is better. im looking for one that i wont have to worry about losing connection and dont have to change alot of setting for it to work with my ipod touch

Linksys or Netgear are always good choices. Have used Linksys for freakin' ever, never had any trouble.

Actually I have a linksys and it pisses me off a lot. I have to go restart it a lot which is incredibly annoying, and my eliminate games lag like crazy. Plus sometimes it just drops my connection. But it may be the one I'm using....

would i be able to use a wireless n router? on apple's website it says it only has wireless b/g built in.

edit: nvm just found the answer on linksys website
Q: Is 802.11n compatible with my existing networking devices?
A: Yes. 802.11n is required to be backwards compatible and interoperable with 802.11b/g devices.

One thing to know is that if a b/g device connects to an n network then the network drops to b/g.

Apple routers are dual band now so they create an n signal AND a separate b/g signal. So you never have to worry about older/slower devices connecting and slowing down your n devices

im probably gonna try the Belkin N 150, was gonna get a free router from my sister but her bf made my mom and dad think it only works with a laptop that has a network card in it. im just hopin the belkin will work good and not drop connection often/ he said her router will only work when she has the network card in, and it wont detect it by wifi, and if she goes to a hotspot it will connect by wifi instantly
