Hey fellow Touch Arcade members! My most played game of January was Dragons Tale. It's a MMORPG bitcoin casino game. I recommend anyone who is interested in bitcoins and likes a game where you can level up and who is a bit of a gambler to check out dragons tale...Also when you are new to the game there are ways to get free bitcoins...A. There are statues that offer bitcoin gifts, B. there are drinks given called waters that offer free btc. So come join and find me as your mentor and i will get you started as a new member of dragons tale. My in game name is "icey" so send me a /message. also as you lvl up there are more and more "islands" you can visit and once you get lvl 3 you start to earn "dragons treasure" or rake back so to speak. They come in .1 btc bundles. There are also other ways to get free btc for example if someone wins big they will throw a party and btc will rain from the sky you just have to catch them...another way is to find "herbs" they are plants that spawn randomly throughout the day and you can find them. Anyways this is my most played game of January and its alot of fun when you win...as a newb you can play for free so feel free to join!
For the past 2 weeks i played... *gulp*... MHFU again. Looks like i got hooked back. That said, it's been a while but i have purchased more than a few titles this last couple weeks after months of slow buying. LOL
My February time sink was very much Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag. In fact, that has also been the case for the past 10 days of March. I've just deleted it, as I can see no end in sight and want to play other stuff. An excellent F2P title - and I never felt any need to spend a single penny (sorry, Bandai Namco - your grinding and gacha was just too generous). Apart from that, I've been dabbling a bit with Dandy Dungeon, which initially just seemed charming but has really grown on me, and I started a bit of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, because its 1GB has been clogging up my storage for far too long. Now I've kicked SAO:MD, I hope to see Oddworld through to the finish - if I can tear myself away from Zelda on the Switch. Oh, and I played Aralon through from start to finish as part of the RPG Reload playalong.
Zelda BOTW on Wii U. Bought on release day and have to be well over 40 hours played now and I'm nowhere close to being finished with the game. Easily in my top 3 games of all time. Edit: checked my time played last night and it was just over 61 hours. After today it'll be pushing 70 hours.
March is the biggest iOS gaming month I've ever seen. So many great indie games dropped within weeks. Bit city topped my play list. I literally had to delete it because I was playing too much. Card thief Temple of spikes Guns of mercy Too many others but these were my heavy . I know kingdom , oxenfree, ticket to earth were downloaded alot
Their were so many games from the indie week it blew my mind. Beglitched Bit city Kingdom new lands Guns of mercy And death road to Canada We're my most played last month
Card Thief PostKnight Reigns are the most played games this month for me. I have just downloaded Bit City !
March has been a bit of a weird mix. Finished Broken Age on the iPad, which was wonderful. Did consult a walkthrough for one puzzle (solution: do nothing!), but generally thought it hit a great balance between reasoned solutions and stumbling through. On the phone, it was some Death Road to Canada and Golf Zero at the end of the month, both ace, but mainly I've been trying to knock off the 1GB Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. Still quite a long way off, but it's been good. Touch controls are not ideal for an FPS but they've done a hell of a job. Then it's Zelda and Shovel Knight on the Switch. Think everyone knows how good they are.
I've started working through my list of unplayed 32 bit apps which I'm likely to lose this Autumn with iOS 11. So far: Mickey's Castle of Illusion - it's okay, and doesn't look too long so I'll stick with it for now. Elder Signs - not feeling this at all. It took a while to understand the game, and now I do it feels a bit too random and not really fun.
Yeah, the indie game showcase thing on Apple had so many good ones. I think the ones I've played the most, and I may be a little late to the party here, are Golf Zero and Trilogic. I have also been playing The Escapists a lot but I limit it to playing on airplanes because it is such a time suck.
So reading your post inspired me to finally open the elder sign app I've had on my device since near enough release in 2011. I kid you not. That's my backlog showing right there. After a long-ish learning experience but easy enough once you grasp it, I have to say, yeh, you're seemingly spot on. There's a lot of luck to it and it really seems to be mostly about managing your luck. Match you adventurers to the best adventure location for them to complete, and manage the use of their items/skills against the random output of the glyphs that they roll. Pretty much that's it. Not sure I'll get much more into this. But, it reminds me a lot of Pathfinder Adventure Card Game also on iOS, which I think is a way better game and a must if you haven't tried it but have got any interest whatsoever in what the elder sign is doing for a strategy game. Edit: reading the (two) threads for this game here on TA is quite enlightening so I plan to give this game some more time, see if I can't beat some of the boss monsters.
I haven't been playing on iOS much recently, but horizon zero dawn and persona 5 have kept me busy. Not to mention ghost recon wildlands or nioh! This year has been insane in terms of high-quality releases, and I still haven't picked up gravity rush 2, neir automata, for honor, or halo wars 2. It's a great time to be a gamer!
